iamafox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 And whose fault will it be if we don't get to the Premier League? F**king Wellens!
davieG Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/story-14446349-detail/story.html? Robbie Savage says Leicester City are suffering this season for "paying over the odds for some poor players." City have slipped to 15th place in the Championship – their lowest league position since December 2010 – following the 2-1 home defeat against Barnsley on Saturday. City manager Nigel Pearson says he will act during the January transfer window to arrest a slide of just one win from the past eight games. They were booed off by their home fans and are now under pressure to produce a big performance in tonight's FA Cup third-round replay against big rivals Nottingham Forest at the King Power Stadium (7.30pm). But Savage said: "It does seems bizarre that (former City boss) Sven-Goran Eriksson spent all that money last summer and here's Nigel having to bring in some more players during the window." Savage, 37, retired from football after two seasons with Derby County to concentrate on a media career. He said: "Before the start of the current season, you would have said that Derby would finish below City, but that may not be the case now. "Nigel Clough has rebuilt his squad and done remarkably well, but I'm afraid Leicester have paid over the odds for some poor players. "How many of their players could handle life in the Premier League? Not that many. In fact, I would only say three or four. "Richie Wellens is top-drawer and has Premier League class, and Andy King will make runs from midfield. The keeper (Kasper Schmeichel) is good and Paul Gallagher, at times, can produce." However, Savage believes Pearson will turnaround City's fortunes, but says they face a tough task to reach the play-offs. He said: "Nigel Pearson is a good guy and he has to try to get them into the play-offs, and I'm sure he will do it, but it may not be this season. "That was a bad one against Barnsley on Saturday and they are going to have to work really hard to get in there now." But Savage believes the timing of the Forest tie could help City's fortunes undergo a revival. "It is a big game for the fans and a massive one for the club," said Savage, who was part of City's glory era under Martin O'Neill. "A good cup run can bring everyone together and it's certainly no distraction." Robbie Savage was speaking ahead of ESPN's live and exclusive coverage of the match from 7pm.

Hmmmmmmmm and at 31 he is a championship player. And we got him from Donny and no prem manager has come in for his class. Savo how many Pot's do you have and where did you win them?? STOP TAKING THE FVCKING PISS AND SHOW SOME RESPECT. IF NOT KEEP THE FVCKER SHUT
l444ry Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Poor old Robbie's turn now is it? I remember Steve Claridge getting dogs abuse from many on this forum because he clearly didn't reckon Sven was up to it. Probably the same whingers....

Guest BlueBrett Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Last week he was saying we would go up with West Ham and Southampton
z-layrex Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Did anyone see him on tele the other day? Talking about what it was like playing under MON. Martin would just tell him he's got no real ability and to please just tackle and pass it to Muzzy.

He's a very genuine bloke, he knows who he is and that he's largely on the wind up most of the time.

Legend_in_blue Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Precisely! But he is still good enough to play in the championship, given an adequate supporting cast. Anyone not knowing who this was about, or which team this describes, would in two words sum this up as "midtable mediocrity". Being good enough to play in this league doesn't cut it for a side looking to the top half. "Still good enough", "adequate" - not words I'd suggest go hand in hand with a team driven towards promotion. Delusions of grandeur hits the nail on the proverbial.
J.Lisemore Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Clearly doesn't have a clue, he didn't even pick out Konchesky as one of the Prem class players.
Jollie Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 He's only saying, in his convoluted way, that 5.5mil is a retarded amount for Matt Mills...which has turned out to be true.
