Wow

Some fantastic touches on the ball very clever player knows exactly were his team mates are. The boy has the potential to make a real difference for us this season. As others have said reminds me of the last LCFC player I actually was happy to pay money to watch - Tom Cleverley. Drinkwater has got the lot.

My only concern is we don't put too much pressure on him right away to perform like last nite everyweek. We've got to be mindfull as fans not to put to much pressure on him straight away.

Well done Danny Drinkwater and pat on the back to Nigel Pearson and Steve Walsh great first signing more of the same please.

He got ear marked as a future Leicester Legend after his debut......look how that turned out.

That's the point I was making... or trying to. ;)

A very slick player, which I think Wellens is aware of, hence the Richie of old last night got a feeling Wellens is game is going to vastly improve as result of the competition Drinkwater will give him. All good news for us!

Really looked a class player last night. I'm excited for the prospect.

Interesting to see Wellens actually getting into the box on numerous occasions too. Perhaps the competition will be good for him.

I thought he had a brilliant debut, solid, reliable, didn't give the ball away, completed some great through balls.

All I can say is Mr Drinkwater.......more of the same please.

Oh and I am new here, a brand new fox for ya

Great touches, comfortable on the ball, good passing and good, successful tackling.

I look forward to seeing him play in his preferred centre mid.

Liquid football!

Absolute top class

At Manure they thought he was going to be the next Paul Scholes when he was younger and you can see why

Centre midfield his is position and if that means Wellens or Danns have to make way then so be it - not a fan of either of them but DD's signing seems to have had the desired effect work rate wise so can't see NP changing a winning side anyway

Difficult decision on Saturday for NP I think .... change a winning side and rest some key players against lower league cup game, and risk tiring them out and knocks, or change around and use some squad players and then revert to winning side in league. I think he'll go for the latter, but can see the merits of the former.

We've certainly tapped into man utd's reservoir of talent. This lad has it in buckets. He's dripping with class and he didn't bottle any challenge. Pour old Barnsley, now they've lost their best player,we'll sea them sink without trace. He's a future city star err..board etc etc.

Really impressed with Danny ........has looked class so far .....even if he has only played for 85 mins !

Jury STILL out with Danns i reckon .........still got a lot more to prove for me !

i hadnt been impressed with Danns until recent matches, but i think he is doing okay now, still room for improvemant mind
