Batch Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Just a quick one, but why are Swindon tickets £15 and Leicester tickets £20 ???????????????????? I want answers.............. They arrjr[ji sorry, distracted by your avatar. They aren't http://www.lcfc.com/page/TicketsHome/0,,10274,00.html Adult tickets are £15 for season ticket holders of both sides. £20 otherwise.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Should be a good atmosphere if swindon can get that whole block sold Will the little fascist be in the stands for the game? or does his ban not count in the FA cup?
Foreign Red Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Hi guys. Swindon fans here. Firstly, I must say I thought you were very impressive against the Saints last night, well done on a great 3 points!! Looks like you are coming into a bit of form under Pearson, and I was interested to see his post match interview where he said the hardest working teams always win. At Swindon, PDC has a similar mantra and likes to play football on the floor, so I am hopeful of a good game with a good atmosphere. Quick question, obviously we beat you in the play off in 93 with a 'soft' penalty, but I don't really understand the posts about revenge? Surely the years after that game, Leicester City enjoyed a much better time than we did, You guys have been in the Prem/Championship, cup finals etc since then whilst we have plummeted down to be messing around in leagues 1 and 2. Anyhow, I have nothing against Leicester, I used to have a soft spot for them in the Prem under Martin O'Neill, and I am really looking forward to Saturday. For me, a new City and a new stadium. All the best. FR
Storming Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Hope he dont stick out a shit team and it comes back to bite his arse Go out there stick 4 or 5 in then rest them Ive payed 20 quid and dont want to watch the reserves for that

Can see a few changes, Kennedy will be 1 i think.
Storming Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Maybe it just me but I work hard for my money and can think of better ways to spend it .Yes we need to bring others in but not to get complacent like Fergie did in the Carling Cup .whats the point in beating Forest then putting out a weakened side against an in form Swindon ?
jonlcfc1990 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Maybe it just me but I work hard for my money and can think of better ways to spend it .Yes we need to bring others in but not to get complacent like Fergie did in the Carling Cup .whats the point in beating Forest then putting out a weakened side against an in form Swindon ? We won't do this? Nothing about our current form says we will change anything? In the Carling cup we took a full strength squad to Bury and Rotherham and we won convincingly i doubt very much in front of a home crowd he will stick the boys on. Lest we forget Kennedy was a stand out performer against Palace and he might be hungry to prove himself against Swindon if he gets the chance. We have fonzy Becks and Nuge and a strong back 4 we will play the first team
Storming Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Agree with you on the Kennedy part thought he was as good as anyone on the pitch in the Palace match and was surprised to see him on the bench after .I can understand resting though when we have Boro on wed night but just would hate it if we got it wrong
jonlcfc1990 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 The best thing about winning is that fatigue doesn't affect you the same way confidence is a great cure for aches and pains. If confidence is breeding in the club then it will bode well for us and the squad. At the end of the day it's up to Nigel but i wouldn't be surprised when he's putting up his provisional team there will be people who will really want to keep their place and will fight for it yet another plus
OldTownRed Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Di Canio already said he would appeal any possible ban so he should still be on the touchline - although with him you never know !! I wouldn't put anything past the bloke - but I can't remember a manager since Hoddle that has so quickly galvanised our town If we are coming up on the train, are there any pubs to avoid or that are friendly on the way to the ground from the station ?
Storming Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Go to the Counting House 5 min walk from the ground good food and away fans welcome

jjedmunds Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Hi Foxies Going to be a good game on Saturday I hope, there will be lots of us coming up to your place, going by current sales it will be around 3,500 and we will make some noise, funnily we don't seem to sing much at home but away is a very different story! Watched your last couple of games on the t'net and been quite impressed with you as an attacking force, we will have to be on top form to get anything out of the game on Saturday if you play like you did against Forest and Saints. Defensively I can see a few shortfalls like dealing with wingers running at you fullbacks and getting crosses in, luckily we have a couple of very attacking wingers so lets see what we can do! but you do have quality all over the pitch, but then again we do too, just because we are in the basement doesnt mean we dont have quality players, because we do. We won't be a push over, as suggested by some of your fans in previous threads, we have a great team spirit and play the game as its supposed to be played....with the ball on the ground and running at players, as your lads do, it should be a good fairly end to end game hopefully with the best side on the day winning, lets hope we have a better ref than we have had lately and that its an open game. We are on a good run with just 1 defeat in 22 games, 10 clean sheets and only 16 conceded, only Hereford(!) and Southampton have scored 3 against us this season, Southampton were on a good run then and with the mad man Paolo livening up off the field proceedings as he always does. Hope its a good game, I wont be able to be there due to financial constraints but will be eagerly watching it on the net. May the best team on the day win and get a good money spinner in the next round.....COYR!!!!
cc_star Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 My memories of Swindon aren't happy ones Obviously the play-off final defeat although the 3 goal comeback was one of the best moments of my life. I also went to the away game where Julian Joachim got strangled by Colin Caulderwood, Glen Hoddle complained then Joachim got sent off Prediction: If we play like the last two games, 3 to 5 nil If we play like games prior to those then we could be on for an upset. The Di Canio sideshow is unsettling tbh, still... love characters in the game so it's all good.
Bloomer Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I want us to win every game, but just as importantly, I don't want any injuries or silly suspensions from this cup game, its good for the club and the fans but I don't want it to cause us any problems in our league campaign. However, I have no problem if we cause a grievious injury to Di Canio's pride.
Tielemans63 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 He'll have a nicer seat at the KP It's like a game of 'spot the fascist'.

(possibly not as bad as I remember but at the time I was outraged) Edit: Just found this description of it while looking for a video made me laugh: Title: Best red card Post by: Reg Smeeton on Wednesday, June 27, 2007, 17:19:04 On the subject of Leicester who incidentally we haven't played for a while now, Joachim's red card when Colin had him by the throat, and he was flailing away gay little punches, but couldn't reach, was funny as ****.
OldTownRed Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 It's like a game of 'spot the fascist'. Ah - another ill informed "I've read something on the internet so it must be true" reaction............. If you are at all interested - this is a good read which dispels some of the "myths" associated with Paolo..... http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/profiles/paolo-di-canio-my-life-speaks-for-me-6273526.html?origin=internalSearch

To be fair, it was tongue in cheek to begin with but never mind eh?
Jimmy Posted 24 January 2012 Author Posted 24 January 2012 Logan is cup-tied Adam Smith will warm the bench for this
