Storming Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Hi all, Swindon fan here Really looking forward to Saturday on what should be a cracking game with 2 sides who like to play football. A couple of questions. 1) Where is the best place to park ? I see there is a car park at the ground, how much do they charge ? 2) What pubs close to the ground are away fan friendly ? Local Hero is Home Only Counting House is both and is more or less next door Park at the Tigers Ground £3 for the day drive past the Tigers ground and follow the road round to the right and go in the Car park behind the stands 3 Quid instead of 6 in the main one
Paolo's Pizza Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Cheers for the advice on pubs. Regarding Matt Ritchie, Paolo has put a £2 million price tag on his head, get bidding
FrankieADZ Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I've said it before and i'll say it again, i'd let Swindon win if they'll let us have Matt Ritchie for a few hundred grand. I hope Pearson has done his homework on him, he'd solve a lot of our problems on the left wing. nice to see im not the only 1 who rates the lad
thybluefox Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 First thing I hope for is a Leicester win obviously. But I also hope we can get through the weekend without falling out with Swindon. Other fans that don't hate us are starting to get a bit thin on the ground!

Jimmy Posted 24 January 2012 Author Posted 24 January 2012 I'll say it again as some have missed it CONRAD LOGAN is cup-tied having played for Rotherham in the 1st round
Captain... Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 There's 6 pages for a reason... Is that because there are so many posts saying, "Logan/Drinkwater/Moore is cup tied? Or because of the chat with the Swindon mob?

A couple of questions. 1) Where is the best place to park ? I see there is a car park at the ground, how much do they charge ? 2) What pubs close to the ground are away fan friendly ? Best place to park is the Rowing club on Upperton Road and costs £5. Then there is the Holiday Inn opposite the ground, £11 for a Jug (4 1/2 pints) and £3.50 for a pint
RonnieTodger Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 Shit first half and go in 1-0 down to a chorus of boos. Come out in the 2nd half fighting and win 2-1

Horace Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 Hi Jon, Remember this...... This weekend Swindon Town head to Leicester City in the FA Cup with Budweiser Fourth Round with manager Paolo Di Canio is looking forward to another special day in the competition. Di Canio has seen his side overcome higher-division opponents in the first three rounds of the competition this term and he is excited ahead of another FA Cup tie, a competition which he has great affection for. “The FA Cup is so special. I have played in the competition and realise what it means to fans,” said the boss. “We won against Wigan – in front of amazing support - and supporters will remember that for years. The FA Cup brings something magic and the build-up to Saturday has been exciting. “We have shown that we can beat higher division sides already this season. We did that against Bristol City, Colchester, Huddersfield and Wigan and Leicester is another challenge for us. Our support will be amazing again I am sure and I hope everybody enjoys the occasion.” Town fans have already snapped up over 3,500 tickets in advance of the game Still optimistic ??

1964FOX Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 Anyone who believes this will be easy is fooling themselves. Swindon are playing well, have nothing to lose and will bring three maybe four thousand fans. We all know the cup is unpredictable and I fear we will be drowned out by their singing if previous atmospher is anything to go by. I want and hope we win this but if we underestimate them in any way we may ge caught out.

1964FOX Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 Ahhhhhh no..............not the proverbial banana skin !!!!! Oh yes it could be, however I have a plan. Get to the pub early and drink more beer than normal, that way I won't realise if things go wrong. However that may lead me to going arse over tit in reality though.
