burni Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I think he will either keep the same team or as its a cup game give some fringe players a chance not that theres many we can play. im going for a few changes to rest a few players so: Kasper Pelts tunch Ledger Kennerdy Drinkwater Wellens Danns Dyer (cotteril in there if he signs) Howards Delf Subs: Smith, Moussa, Beckford, Nugent, Kon, Tunch, Gally Despite the confidence of Decaniopinspaniwalio (whatever hes called) and swindon fans, the odds of them winning are small, providing were up for it and dont mess about theres only goint to be one winner. 3 - 1 to the might foxes! Horace I think the attendance on our end will be around 12k + your 3-4k so around 16k. Not massive but as its not a season ticket game and its against league 2 people aren't going to be overly bothered, no offense intended by that as i think you will be a tough oposition. but I can't see there being more than forrest who are rivals. I could be completely wrong there! As for finding our weakspots we definately have some, an attack down the wing and a good ball in the box and you could find yourself scoring, we have conceded a few like that. However i doubt we will give you time on the ball and i think you may struggle with some of our pace and skill but we are two leagues higher so thats expected.
muzzycomeback Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Hi guys. Swindon fans here. Firstly, I must say I thought you were very impressive against the Saints last night, well done on a great 3 points!! Looks like you are coming into a bit of form under Pearson, and I was interested to see his post match interview where he said the hardest working teams always win. At Swindon, PDC has a similar mantra and likes to play football on the floor, so I am hopeful of a good game with a good atmosphere. Quick question, obviously we beat you in the play off in 93 with a 'soft' penalty, but I don't really understand the posts about revenge? Surely the years after that game, Leicester City enjoyed a much better time than we did, You guys have been in the Prem/Championship, cup finals etc since then whilst we have plummeted down to be messing around in leagues 1 and 2. Anyhow, I have nothing against Leicester, I used to have a soft spot for them in the Prem under Martin O'Neill, and I am really looking forward to Saturday. For me, a new City and a new stadium. All the best. FR
Paolo's Pizza Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Hi all, Swindon fan here Really looking forward to Saturday on what should be a cracking game with 2 sides who like to play football. A couple of questions. 1) Where is the best place to park ? I see there is a car park at the ground, how much do they charge ? 2) What pubs close to the ground are away fan friendly ?
jonlcfc1990 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Saffron Lane to park- you can chance it on the bus lane if it's not full if it is theres a big car park around 3.50 fast escape and if you park there you walk up to the ground local hero and the counting house pub both friendly

Tielemans63 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I think Nige will keep the same side - continuity and all that.
RowlattsFox Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Kasper Peltier St Ledger Tunchev Kennedy Moussa Wellens Danns Dyer Howard Beckford Subs; Smith, Taft, Mills, Johnson, Konchesky, Nugent, Hopper Massive game tuesday, can we risk injuries to Kasper and Nugent? I wouldn't be surprised to see same team but good opportunity to freshen up certain players.
Paolo's Pizza Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Can I play the guess the line up game ? Foderingham Caddis Flint McCormack Kennedy Ritchie Ferry Smith De Vita Benson Connell
The Year Of The Fox Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I'm confident about Saturday I think we'll win easily. I'm going for 6-0 Youre fukin stupid if you believe this
35yrRed Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Hi all....just wanted to re-post this which I posted last night on the other thread concerning Di Canio!!! It is probably more suitable here!!! Obviously the good luck wish for you to get the points against Southampton worked!!! Hi all, Firstly I was at Wembley that day and I went through every emotion possible!!! I remember a hulking great bloke in front of me who started crying when you made it 3-3!!! after the penalty he grabbed me in a bear hug and threw me around like a bl@@dy rag doll!!! I was in absolute heaven but got talking to a few of your supporters afterwards and they were brilliant..totaly gutted..but held out their hands and congratulated us!!!...I remember feeling total admiration for them. Anyway on to this topic....Paolo has been absoulutely brilliant for us and to watch him kick every ball is fantastic, we spent a lot of time just wanting a manager with half of his passion as we slipped down the leagues and I really think he will go on to be a great Manager at the top level. Don't read to much into what he has reportedly said...we have often seen his 'quotes' slightly changed or the very next thing he say's conveniently missed!!! Obviously you are favourites to win but we do stand a chance if you play under your actual ability, we are on a great run and playing football that is of a higher quality than our current division, in fact with the exception of 3 other teams most of them play hoofball and chase!! (Think Cambridge with Deone Dublin)!! so hopefully we will continue in our current vein and get to where football is played "as it should be". Good luck to you tonight, hope you get the points......and I am really looking forward to Saturday..we have sold over 2000 tickets already which is looking good considering the only went on sale to the non season ticket holders today!!!...we have a really noisy away following so the atmosphere should be great!! One last thing regarding Wembley...the commentators all said it was one of the greatest games EVER played at Wembley and one even said stuff the FA Cup, if all play off finals were like this I'd rather have them!!!! lets all remember though...it took two two teams to make that happen!!! SWINDON AND LEICESTER!!!!! so too ALL the players and fans who made that match what it was....THANKYOU!!! See you Saturday!!!
Paolo's Pizza Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I'm confident about Saturday I think we'll win easily. I'm going for 6-0 Youre fukin stupid if you believe this I'm quoting this so I can come back and gloat if we win !

jonthefox Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Really ??? ..... Perhaps Swindon will just make you look poor ... and you'll lose anyway, perhaps you'll play well and Swindon still beat you ..... 1-1 I reckon and back to the County Ground for a replay. Suits me. Ive never been there before.
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I'm quoting this so I can come back and gloat if we win ! i genuinely think you will win, although im hoping Leicester will win of course
The Year Of The Fox Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I'm quoting this so I can come back and gloat if we win ! Didnt see the writing below the quote in white?!
Ric Flair Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I've said it before and i'll say it again, i'd let Swindon win if they'll let us have Matt Ritchie for a few hundred grand. I hope Pearson has done his homework on him, he'd solve a lot of our problems on the left wing.
Bozman Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I don't know any of the swindon players apart from Aden flint he played for the mighty Alfreton town, he is good in the air but deathly slow, nuge will tear him to shreds. so for me a close 4-0 win to city............
Callabinho Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 swindon web site all tickets £15 2000 sold as of monday You're pic makes me wan't to motorboat someone!

LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Dave & Amy @lolzamapop Close Swindon have requested full allocation from #LCFC of tickets. Could be 5000 town fans at Leicester on saturday #stfc That doesn't surprise me one bit, I guessed they would bring around the full allocation like Man City did
