Gallagher

Should definitely be a squad member next season. Shouldn't be a regular starter, but there's no need to throw away a guy with his technical ability. Along with King, made a massive difference today, set up Nugent's goal and could've set up a couple more.

Anyone who booed before he came on should really feel like silly sausages. What goes on in the heads of people like that? "Yer like ya know what? He dunt runn abaht as much as other players and he looks a bit skinny so I'll boo him." Then someone next to said moron goes "well he's booing so ah better boo as well."

Ten goals so far this season and 11 I believe last season? That was playing from midfield in teams that have hardly set the league alight. And he did not start every game. I am really excited about Ben Marshall and yes, longer term he probably is the future but how anyone can slag of Gallagher is beyond me. And Gallagher and Marshall fighting for one place sounds pretty good to me! Over ten goals from midfield for two seasons is pretty good. I think sometimes someone gets a name for themselves like being a prima donna, or lazy, or not getting stuck in and then everyone with no brain just blindly believes it and they can never shake the tag. I have never seen gallagher and thought "wow, he's lazy and never runs". In fact (and I will admit I don't se y many games as I live in Scotland now) when I have seen him play he is always amongst the better performers.

Anyway, I know I will not stop the pomplemongers from slagging him off but if you are reading Gally (no idea why you would with some of the venom on here) I would just like to say keep it up and some of love you!

Up the Foxes!

He scored 13.

He just isn't consistent enough for us. Yes he'll score the odd wonder goal in home games .

But the evidence of the last two seasons shows that all too often in away games where the going gets tough, he goes missing.

Ben Marshall is the future. Gallagher is the past.

Because they cannot play in the same team? Gallagher on the right, Marshall on the left.

Nugent/Beckford up top

Marshall Gally and Dyer behind in a 4231 formation that we tried to utilise (but fvcked up by putting Nugent out wide).

It is a squad game and Gallagher is a very useful man to have in the squad, he was missed against Forest when we needed a spark to break the deadlock. We will also need to rotate the squad more we played 9 games in March it is no surprise the last 2 of those games we looked flat, we will soon have europa league causing further fixture congestion, we need to have as many quality players in the squad as possible and I count Gallagher as one of them.

Gallagher for me, isn't a winger he has his qualities no doubt about it, but is very inconsistent if we are reverting to 4-4-2 formation their is no place for him in the first team would he accept being a bench player next season alongside Wellens?

Lads you should know the routine by now:

5 shit games then injured /dropped

Couple of good performances coming off the bench

Couple of good performances starting - usually scores at least 1 goal

5 shit games...

To be fair you could say this about quite a few of our players hence the inconsistency issue

One week we might have all 11 having a good week...

We always talk about a plan B, and he seems best suited to playing behind the striker(s) that has been the main problem we have had with Gallagher ever since he signed for us, where to play him, he doesn't have the strength to be a striker or the pace to be a winger, he is not combative enough to be in a 2 man midfield, and Pearson likes 442.

He may accept being a squad player next season if he is happy at the club, but if he does feel the fans don't appreciate him and the boo boys have got to him, then it is probably best for him to move on. For him personally he would probably be better suited at a club like Peterborough, we can do a swap deal for Taylor.

It would be a shame to see him leave because he certainly has talent, but it just hasn't really clicked.
