stockyfox Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Justice? Hardly! More like rough justice. That diabolical decision cost us the match and three points. We were still taking the game to Brighton with only ten men and then nine. Would Neil Danns have played in such a manner to get himself sent off if Becks had still been on the field of play. Would Delfonso have suffered a crippling injury if we weren't having to defend with so many odds being stacked against us. Justice will only be seen to be done when the FA punish the referee and linesman to the same or greater level as they would give to a player. A public apology to Beckford, to Leicester City FC and not least, the Leicester fans should be a starting point.
deep blue Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 How did I manage to miss the word "sorry" in the FA's official statement?
Larry_LCFC Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Although I no longer live in the Midlands and have been gone from there for seven years now, Andy Woolmer (the ref. on Saturday at Brighton) is a full time postman in Northampton still, as far as I know. I used to work at Royal Mail there and I still believe he is there as we speak! "Don't give up the day job" is quite a fitting phrase in this case I think! No wonder Royal Mail is so shite these days when they employ baboons that clearly struggle to deliver the goods under pressure.
stockyfox Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Sometimes on here it is nothing but moan, moan, moan, MOAN!!!!!! of which your post is an excellent example?
FoxesRoyal Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Now the FA needs to take action against the officials! But they won't.... This is why Refs are crap these days as they know if they make crap decisions they won't get punished! If the FA did take action against their bad decisions then i personally think the refs will be better quality! Anyways glad Beckford can play Saturday! plus the Ban wouldn't have helped his form!
Yojoe36 Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Sometimes on here it is nothing but moan, moan, moan, MOAN!!!!!! FVCKING RAGE!!
Guy Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 No wonder Royal Mail is so shite these days when they employ baboons that clearly struggle to deliver the goods under pressure. Without wanting to further muddy Mr Woolmer's name here, he used to be a right jack the lad at work (Royal Mail in Northampton), stealing stuff from the canteen there, back chatting the canteen kiosk staff/cashier in the process. whenever I saw him. He was the same ref who abandoned the Plymouth v Leicester game down here in Autumn 2005 in the second half when they were winning 1-0.....even though they eventually won the replay in January 06, 1-0! - leading to Levein's sacking the day after of course. so he's been at Championship level for some time now. Makes you laugh!
Libertine Dream Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 It's good that Beckford won his appeal, but Huth didn't win his appeal and therefore football still hasn't won out. Somebody at the FA needs to find some common sense.
1964FOX Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 This is great news, poetic justice if he scores the winner at 'no seats to spare' Norwich.
Jace Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 The odds on Leicester winning the FA Cup have just shortened from 250/1 to 10/1
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Sometimes on here it is nothing but moan, moan, moan, MOAN!!!!!! Conspiracy !!!
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 I'M NOT MAD!!!!!!!!!!! Matter of opinion !

Makes you laugh! Can you substantiate this claim about stealing? He may have had a bad game but on the Beckford sending off he was only taking the advice of the linesman. This is the guy who should never officiate again. He was how far from the incident and still got it badly wrong. In so doing he not only helped reduce the game to farce but his bad decision meant that people who paid good money to watch the game were deprived of their full potential enjoyment. But as usual I see no apology from the FA. How long before one of these guys gets sued?
davieG Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 So no explanation then. The FA website. Leicester City’s Jermaine Beckford has had his claim for wrongful dismissal upheld. As a result, the three-match suspension handed to him has been withdrawn with immediate effect. Beckford had originally received a red card for violent conduct during his side’s game at Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday 4 February 2012.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Now he can go get us a hat-trick against the Canaries!
dave the caveman Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 A red card for "violent conduct"? Would love to know exactly what the linesman saw and exactly how the fa have subsequently proven it didn't happen. What an absolute shower of shite. If the fa wants officials to be respected, it needs to start showing some respect for the game by increasing transparency, and making officials publically accountable for their actions. Until then, its impossible for anyone to treat them with anything other than hostility and disdain. There is simply too much at stake in football to allow such a dreadful standard of refereeing to be peacefully tolerated.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 He will probably get sent off at Norwich. lol
Trav Le Bleu Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Does this mean we can have 12 men for the last 20 mins of our next match?
katieakita Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 The Ref had to take the advice of the linesman as he didn't see it and as the linesman was about 5ft from the incident the ref would have assumed he would have seen this violent assualt from Becks
Libertine Dream Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 The Ref had to take the advice of the linesman as he didn't see it and as the linesman was about 5ft from the incident the ref would have assumed he would have seen this violent assualt from Becks Well that's a punishable mistake in itself, why listen to a linesman? These are people that have great difficulty in deciding who is awarded a throw in on the halfway line when they stand 3 yards away from the incident.
Guest Col city fan Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 So no explanation then. The FA website. Did you expect one?
