Guest Col city fan Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 We have a better chance beating Chelsea away than Birmingham away What on earth are you basing that on?
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 What on earth are you basing that on? Chelsea are playing poor football at the minute, Birmingham are not, I rather have Chelsea away than Birmingham
deep blue Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 That's the same thing isn't it? Surely we have a better chance against the worst team? Chelsea only scraped a draw at home against Brum. That makes Chelsea the worst of the two on current form.
Matt Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Purely for the fact we seem to perform better being the underdog I understand where people are coming from when they'd prefer/think we'd have a better chance against Chelsea. I am not and wouldn't call Chelsea the 'easier' game though. That said we'd also be the underdog v Birmingham, but against Chelsea we'd be even bigger underdogs (Obviously).

Chelsea would be a better chance to beat rather than Birmingham like I have said
Guest Col city fan Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Chelsea are playing poor football at the minute, Birmingham are not, I rather have Chelsea away than Birmingham Chelsea are off form but have so much more quality than Brum... Who would you rather play against? Zigic or Sturridge up front? Chris Burke or Mata on the wing? Cahill or Curtis Davies at the back? Chelsea will be probably looking at the FA cup as their only real hope of Silverware.... And AVB will know he has to win something this season or he's probably gone. No contest for me this one I don't want Chelsea away
Kitchandro Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Chelsea only scraped a draw at home against Brum. That makes Chelsea the worst of the two on current form. No, that means in a one off game they raised themselves and Chelsea underperformed and perhaps underestimated Birmingham. Like Norwich did with us. On the day. If Chelsea spank Birmingham 6-0 in the replay at St Andrew what will you say then?
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Are people insane? Chelsea easier than Birmingham, I think not. Not at all. There is nothing more dangerous than a wounded tiger. or in our case a Fox. We are burning with desire to down the big boys. I have seen us do it before, and I believe we can go all the way. Chelsea away would not be easy , but I have seen all this before. It is all about character, and not league positions. It is about desire, and we are capable of bringing down Brum or Chelsea. PASSION AND BELIEF.! The F.A. Cup is a great leveller.
gazrjohnson Posted 20 February 2012 Posted 20 February 2012 Regardless of either teams form, ambitions or expectations, foxes are on a great cup run this season! I can see us beating either team!

I thought you thought Pearson was shite and his teams a joke? Now you think we can beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge? Make your fookin mind up...
adam1 Posted 21 February 2012 Posted 21 February 2012 This is chelseas best option for a trophy this season. Given that its a quarter final - one away from the semi final, I don't think they will take this game lightly. DAY OF THE GAME: I don't know if anyone else has posted. A lot of people have reached the conclusion that the game will be played on a Saturday or Sunday. However this is on the fa website: "*Ties to be played over the weekend of 17 March. Match may be scheduled for the Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday. "
Karljohn Posted 21 February 2012 Posted 21 February 2012 Tough game for all clubs concerned, John Terry out for 4-6 weeks so rules him out if we do get Chelsea. I do believe we have every chance of progressing but think we have a better chance of doing so by bringing the tie back to Leicester.
lcfcbaby Posted 21 February 2012 Posted 21 February 2012 If the fans are half as good as Norwich then we'll have done well! I do believe that we played a vital part on Saturday and hopefully we can build momentum and help our club get success whether it's against Chelsea or Brum!
