From the Cov OS, who manage to update their site despite suffering a thrashing and with their 1st team playing

COVENTRY City Under 18's suffered a rare defeat at the hands of local rivals Leicester City.

Despite starting the game on the front foot with early chances for Courtney Richards and Jonson Clarke-Harris, the Foxes took the lead just past the half-hour.

Leicester midfielder Larreau Pierre was allowed to get down the left side of the area before unleashing a powerful effort from a narrow angle which City goalkeeper Lee Burge was unable to keep out.

Coventry continued to push forward after the break in search the equaliser but were caught out in the 69^thminute. The Coventry defence failed to clear a cross and ball fell for Matt Robinson in the area to tuck home a simple second.

The away side added gloss to the score line with the Sky Blues pushing forward as Leicester City captain Tom Hooper produced two smart finishes to seal an impressive victory for Leicester.

Tom Hopper certainly looks a prospect, would like him to be on the bench instead of Howard.

I echo this. He looked very promising in the short sub appearence (for the first team) a few weeks back. I suppose Howard, being a target man, gives a different type of option,though.

Hopper makes it propper hard for the keepers to be shot stoppers unless the defenders are croppers or party poopers they cannot topper the mighty Hopper
