Out Foxed Posted 28 February 2012 Posted 28 February 2012 Why can't Leiceter fans just accept that Coventry fans don't really care about you, the older generation like myself see you as a 3rd rivalry behind Birmingham and Villa as they grew up watching these games. The 15 year olds growing up now are the only ones who see it as a big rivalry. I don't know how many times I have to say this. genuine question when was coventry's greatest era/team. obviously you won the fa cup once and were in the Prem for a bit but that's as far as my knowledge on your team goes.

Personally I don't really care if you see us as big rivals or not, but I don't understand why you admit it then deny it, then get worked up about it. You don't see us as big rivals, I don't see Cov as big rivals, but there are some on both sides that do and you are not a spokesman for the whole Cov fan base, so unless you know all of them personally and well enough to state that nobody cares about us, then just let it go. We had some great seasons in there as well as some mediocre ones. We were always a decent watch though and obviously a cup win and a season in europe.

Their accents weren't from Leicester though, very West Midlands drawl, I am from Leicester but I didn't know we had a rivalry with Cov until I joined this forum, because I am from closer to Nottingham and Derby, Cov never really registered, so for sure there will be a group of Cov fans that live between Leicester and Cov and hate us. You have already admitted that. I don't think anyone on here thinks that we are in the minds of all Cov fans 24/7 and you cheer our every defeat, but some do, in the same way I will always have a little smirk when I see Forest or Derby are losing.

Their city, the people, everything. It's a personal issue!! I know Leicester is hardly the nicest place in the UK to live but I can look a few miles down the motorway and know I'd rather be here than there with the 6 fingered, sister loving chavs. Everyone else in the league I can enjoy banter with. Coventry?? I wouldn't care one iota if they folded. Pointless club, horrible fans. This will come back to bite me on the arse won't it??

After all, we all love the game, just follow different teams. And truth be known, when you sit down with opposition fans, they are just the same as us - some are deluded of course, but generally they are us in different colours. Looking forward to saturdays banter, but if we bump into any Cov fans I certainly wont be recreating the 60's and having a ruck with them.

Leicester Fans that live between Derby and Leicester rate Derby as the biggest Rivals. It's all down to which side of Leicester you live, like it or not there are 3 main rivals COv being one of them.
