Yes they do you t**ts, when was the last time you played Villa in a competitive game it was a bloody long time ago. Just face it we are your biggest rivals and you know it. You are our third biggest rivals I hope that makes you happy.

Personally, for me, Villa will always be our biggest rivals due to the era I grew up in when the games against Leicester were few and far between. You are correct in saying we haven't played them in a long time, and this has dimmed the "rivalry". Birmingham would probably rank second for me followed by Leicester/Wolves/West Brom. Wouldn't ever say you were not a rival as that will always be the case due to the close proximity of the 2 clubs.

And yes, Forest certainly don't care about you as much as you think. My family are from Nottingham and many are Forest fans. Their main rivalry is Derby by a mile.

I'm sick to death of the same old shit everytime we face Cov/Derby/Forest.

Yeah, you don't care about us, the 8 page topic says otherwise. And vice versa for us, we're all as bad as each other. There was a topic the other day with pages and pages of people laughing about their attendances and shit ground etc. We're all massive hypocrites.

So STFU. I genuinely sometimes wish the hooligans would come back out of retirement and start a few riots, just to start an actual genuine rivalry aspect to the derbys. This whole we don't care about you shit is just getting on my tits.

This will be the last time we play them for a very long time.

Thanks for setting the record straight.

This family of yours is one of thousands. It's completely subjective, what one family says another one disagrees. This is what gets my goat, generalization.

Fair point. My point really is that it is not the biggest rivalry for either club but it is still a rivalry.

Fair enough mate, but Forest do hate us and we hate them. Only the Clough era where he managed both clubs (Derby and Forest) brought about that rivalry, but in the heyday Forest v Leicester was the biggest Derby in the East Midlands.

Anyway. Now that is cleared up.......

..... I genuinely think we have a chance this weekend. Hopefully you will underestimate us, as many have on this thread. We are better at home than away (won 4 of last 5 at home - yet to win away) but hopefully as we have a number of local lads in the team they will be up for it. You will obviously be favourites but hopefully we can finally get an elusive away win.

Close game ending either a 1-1 draw or 2-1 either way (nothing like sitting on the fence)

Just can't see you winning myself. We are on a decent run after wins at Norwich.and Derby and you have the worst away record in the football league I am led to believe. Maybe sneak a point but a win, no.

Feel free to quote me when you do win though lol

I'm hoping your players are thinking the same. We will have a chance if they do. Wishful thinking maybe.

lol at Coventry

Classic.

"We don't care about Leicester", to think those 13k a game, small-time, bottom half for years ****** actually think they're bigger than us based on one cup win, absolute wow.

As for the game itself, 1-0 win, the problem is, I've not predicted a Leicester win right in 2012. Every single game we've won I've said we wouldn't, every game I've said we'll win, we've failed. With it being this season, the year where we seem to lose to sides who say "there's literally no chance of us winning at you", Bristol City, Leeds, Millwall and Barnsley all said how winning at us was pretty much impossible, all pulled it off. With it being fvcking Coventry, 0 away wins all year, coming off the back of a Leicester win... I don't know, if this fixture isn't usually enough of an anti-climax, this year has potential to out-do the last two and more.

But I don't know, I do think we're finally starting to get somewhere and the dis-interested egos are finally on their way out, I think we'll JUST edge it 1-0.

Don't think many realistic Cov fans actually think that. Most would argue that, historically, the clubs are a similar size. At the moment Coventry are on a massive low and crowds have been declining for a little while now. We need a few seasons of relative success to increase crowds again.

Personally I care about Leicester as much as I do any other team in this league for a one off game. I will be cheering you on any time you play Forest, Doncaster, Portsmouth, Bristol City & Milwall in the near future.

As I've said already, there is clearly some rivalry between the clubs - hence the multi page threads on each clubs forum(s). I just don't think it is as big as some people would like to think, from either side.

So... you havnt won away all season... play much better at home... but are playing away..... I see the word hopefully lots... yet you GENUINELY think you have a chance?

I admire your optimism!

Couldn't agree more, apart from a few divs, 90% of Cov fans would agree that Leicester are a bigger club than Coventry, im more than happy to admit it, no point in being in denial about it.

Leicester fans have to remember that this is probably an all time low for our club, it's different to the days of the 50's and 60's when we were in the 2nd and 3rd tier because that was expected back then, it wouldnt be anywhere near as depressing as it is now.

As for the game, away from home we are shocking, we're a completely different side, all our confidence is zapped from us and we look scared shitless, at Forest a few weeks ago we completely bottled it and I'm expecting the same again.

Yes they do you t**ts, when was the last time you played Villa in a competitive game it was a bloody long time ago. Just face it we are your biggest rivals and you know it. Most of us consider u to be some sort of rivals, but not on a scale when we play Forest or Dierby, so you are ranked 3rd or 4th.

Why can't Leiceter fans just accept that Coventry fans don't really care about you, the older generation like myself see you as a 3rd rivalry behind Birmingham and Villa as they grew up watching these games. The 15 year olds growing up now are the only ones who see it as a big rivalry. I don't know how many times I have to say this.

Maybe if you stopped caring about whether we care about how much you care about us, we would start to believe you.

It's starting to piss me off, why would you lot be bothered if I said we didn't hate you? You all seem to be arguing with me as it you want us as rivals when in reality, we couldn't care less.

This is the last I'm saying on it now, you know my stance.

Bullshit you hate all teams in the league like everyone else. You are just trying to soften the blow if the inevitable happens and you lose.

But aren't you now contradicting yourself, you said in a previous thread that porbably around 30% of Cov fans see Leicester as a big rival, and then there is all the video and anecdotal evidence (burning the shirt etc). Personally I don't really care if you see us as big rivals or not, but I don't understand why you admit it then deny it, then get worked up about it. You don't see us as big rivals, I don't see Cov as big rivals, but there are some on both sides that do and you are not a spokesman for the whole Cov fan base, so unless you know all of them personally and well enough to state that nobody cares about us, then just let it go.

Dont forget their wild celbrations at Sheff Utd when we went down.
