Bugg Posted 28 February 2012 Posted 28 February 2012 At least Derby don't care and don't feel the need to point it out at every opportunity. Forest and Coventry seem to have a strange obsession with trying to convince us that they don't care, when in my opinion if they really felt nothing towards us then they wouldn't feel the need to tell us whenever they hear or see the word "Leicester" mentioned as if they have to prove something towards us.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 28 February 2012 Posted 28 February 2012 Peterborough? Classed as 'East', rather than in Midlands
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 28 February 2012 Posted 28 February 2012 Dreamt we drew this. The second half was played in the sweet isle at morrissons and I scored the equaliser with a small tin of beans

jonthefox Posted 28 February 2012 Posted 28 February 2012 To put this to bed Kasabian refused to support Oasis at the Ricoh as it is home to their biggest rivals. If thats true, then well done kasabian.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 28 February 2012 Posted 28 February 2012 i really hope we win this one, obviously maybe but although they arent as fierce a rival as F****t or Direby it will still be good to get a local rivals scalp
Guest ttfn Posted 28 February 2012 Posted 28 February 2012 I wonder how many City games Kasabian have been to in recent years To be fair, I've seen Serge at 7 or 8 away games going back to MK Dons in League 1. Don't know about home games, but I imagine they're out of the country a lot of the time.
FuriousFox46 Posted 28 February 2012 Posted 28 February 2012 Classed as 'East', rather than in Midlands My friends are persistent that they're part of the Midlands

Tom was at a few games last year, spoke to him before the Burnley game, and yes im sure they dont spend a lot of time here for tax reasons!

Mark82-CCFC Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 That big away following keeps on rising... http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/feat/ed15/816_tickets_sold_for_leicester_731516/index.shtml Similar to what we had sold at this point against Forest the other week. Took about 3000 to that. To be honest I would be surprised if we match that, for a start you haven't given us that many tickets and I think the performance at Forest may put some off. We were awful.
Dan Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 So we wouldn't have celebrated staying up if you hadn't gone down? Get over yourself! Did I say that? You were singing "Leicester's going down", would you have sang that about Norwich or Sheffield Wednesday? Don't waste your time typing any form of denial either.
Dan Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 When a semi rival goes down at your expense you're going to sing about it. If it had been Wolves, Stoke, West Brom we would of done it. Had you of gone down without us being involved, there wouldn't of been any songs sung. On another note, FIFA later? Stop bottling it. If Leicester went down this season with nothing to do with you, you would sing about it. Absolute fact. I'll give you your owed belting at Fifa tomorrow.

Don't waste your time typing any form of denial either. Of course not. Norwich/Wednesday are not our rivals. The point is we were celebrating us staying up, that you went down was an added bonus to some. Personally I would like us to be in the same league with as many local (i.e. Midlands) teams as possible, as these games always have a little added spice. I would also prefer that league to be the premier league, but sadly that is not going to happen for us without investment.

Libertine Dream Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Most teams get 1400 initially, then another 1400 and then the final 400 if needed.

Adster Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 I think it's dependant on where you live on whether you hate Coventry or not. I live in Hinckley, therefore I'm going to hate Coventry more as I'm surrounding by Coventry fans. So it means more to me than what Forest does.

Started working in Hinckley in November drive around with my city scarves on my boot lid and the glass emblem not met one Cov fan... Unfortunately
lestajigs Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 It probably was, but when you look at the old videos, and also I remember being there as a youngster (late 90's) the noise around it was so much greater than now. Remember the kop in the corner just used to be full of lads and blokes, quite intimidating, (maybe because I was only 16) but it was brilliant every game, feel sorry for who ever on here has never had the experience of filbo.
