GBLCFC Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 It's disappointing to lose him for 3 games but at least he will be back for the cup game! Of what I've seen of Kennedy I've been impressed, he seemed decent at Palace away!
speedwayson Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 i watch it saterday night and i did see anything wrong and after watching the football over the weekend and i thinks he was hard done to some of these so called top refs need to get there act together most of them cannot keep up with play. when you look at the liverpool match that was not a pen hulsey had no idea because he was blocked of but these people are costing clubs points and players time off
Jagdinho Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Why not put Schlupp left back? He can play there, he did at Rotherham in the second half i think?
jprs1976 Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 I thought that until I watched the Football League show. It was a penalty, very clumsy challenge. Konchesky by the letter of the law also deserved to go, having said that the ref could have shown some football sense and just given him a yellow, but under the strict laws the ref was correct. it was never a penalty he had passed the ball back to the keeper and then a few seconds later the cheating cov player fell over. ref felt really sorry for them and they still missed it so justice was done
Out Foxed Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Why not put Schlupp left back? He can play there, he did at Rotherham in the second half i think? because that's completely unnecessary
Guest BlueBrett Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 how can anyone who has seen the Morgan incident think it should have been a pen!?
Dan Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 How can anyone say it was a foul. Fvck me I'd feel guilty if we got given a penalty as daft as that, but like we ever would.

Konch was also very unlucky most players would usually get a yellow card at the most. You've all seen it in slow motion several times. Take off your Leicester specs for a moment and look how clumsy it is, the ever so slight touch Morgan gets, the timing of it and what the ref might have seen. I don't think it was a penalty having seen it again but I can completely understand why the ref thought it was. Oh, and tell me you wouldn't go completely bonkers had that not been given at the other end...
ScouseFox Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Even at the game, from the Kop about 100 yards away it was so clear that SSL plays a pass to Morgan, who plays a pass to Kasper, then gets ran into. And penalised. Madness.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 it looks worse in slow motion than it did realtime! His touch on the ball looks far more convincing at pace
Captain... Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 He was side on mate, definitely tripped the bloke over. I've just watched it now, still say never a pen, he passed the ball, he beat Nimley to the ball, and passed to Scmeichel, never a pen. There is also the fact that the BBC highlights were disgusting, the 2 pens and the 2 goals the red card, and then 2 dubious non penalty appeals instead of the numerous chances we created. I would cancel my license fee, if I paid it
Corky Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 If it was the other way round I'd wonder why we got a penalty. Morgan got to the ball first and played it back to Schmeichel. Their player was always going to make contact as he was heading towards the ball but Morgan got there first. Couldn't understand it at the time and still don't.
Bert Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Why not put Schlupp left back? He can play there, he did at Rotherham in the second half i think? Jeffers had fresh legs and would be more dangerous on the counter.
Mack Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 I've just watched it now, still say never a pen, he passed the ball, he beat Nimley to the ball, and passed to Scmeichel, never a pen. I would cancel my license fee, if I paid it It's after the pass. The player is trying to get to the ball and Morgan is clumsy.
