THEFATBASTARD Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Realistically what do you expect him to say? When you are being interviewed nothing is not an option. Do you want him to publicly criticise the manager, his team mates the owners? Do you want him to say don't bother buying anymore tickets because we're shit? Criticise the performance by all means but making a big deal about a comment half of you didn't even hear is pathetic. whats pathetic is talking a monster and delivering a mouse.. a bit of honesty on and off the pitch would not go a miss.you keep defending these over paid losers, im not..
NottsFox Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Excuses Excuses... This team has been an absolute joke this season!

Criticise the performance by all means but making a big deal about a comment half of you didn't even hear is pathetic. I expect him to say something like 'We weren't good enough today and we haven't been good enough on the whole. We're letting the fans down and we're not doing acceptably. I just hope we can repay the fans for their faith. We will be doing everything we can to improve. The fans have every right to criticise us. There are no excuses'.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 I really wish Neil Danns would shut the Fook up. His scouse accent is annoying, he's monotone when he's talking and he's done not much on the pitch for us this season. Concentrate on your football son or fook off and make your music elsewhere. I'm sick of these media articles and after match interviews which are frankly, all piss and wind.
Corky Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Danns is scoring goals at the moment, so he could say he's doing something on the pitch.
Fox96 Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 neil danns @dannzy1 The fans on the message boards, can some one explain that I never said anythin of the sort on there, thank you for the support #lcfc neil danns @dannzy1 Not once did I criticise the fans today, I have nothin but compliments , I compared situation. Of clubs, some just said that I critisised
Webbo Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 whats pathetic is talking a monster and delivering a mouse.. a bit of honesty on and off the pitch would not go a miss.you keep defending these over paid losers, im not.. What's pathetic is trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill. We didn't lose today because Danns said something innocuous after the match. Grow up.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Danns is scoring goals at the moment, so he could say he's doing something on the pitch. If you're happy with Danns this season and his comments today then good luck to ya.... I'd rather they all do their talking on the pitch, consistently.
lcfcbaby Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 If you're happy with Danns this season and his comments today then good luck to ya.... I'd rather they all do their talking on the pitch, consistently. This! But when we criticise Danns for what he says it's not going to help him mentally especially as he's performing!

Guest ttfn Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 If you're happy with Danns this season and his comments today then good luck to ya.... I'd rather they all do their talking on the pitch, consistently. Danns has been quite good for the last six weeks. If other players had followed his lead we'd be better off than we are now.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 This! But when we criticise Danns for what he says it's not going to help him mentally especially as he's performing! Sorry... Who's performing? Are you honestly suggesting any of them are? Danns included.. Id suggest they are all massively under performing. And hearing yet another load of old bollox from one of them (this time Danns) ain't gonna make me think any different. At present they talk a good game... End of
Guesty Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 It's just a simple miss-understanding really isn't it. Everyone knows what he ment. Out of all the players, he's probably one of the top 3 who put all their effort in, which is what I want to see most.
davieG Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Well I'm guessing this is the last time Danns will want to pick the short straw out for the after match talk with Stringer,

I'm sick of these media articles and after match interviews which are frankly, all piss and wind. Danns was our best player today (just in case that didn't come across on your radio). There's a whole host of players you should be pointing the finger at instead of him. I'm sure the players don't really enjoy being interviewed after losing, but it's part of the job. As others have said, would you rather them come out and admit they have nothing left to play for this season? It's a no win situation for them with interviews, and at least Danns has the bottle to come out and face tje media, unlike other members of the squad who have refused earlier in the season.

End of Danns has been better than he has all season, not today but recently! What he said was unfair, but he was just saying what we all know is true!
Kitchandro Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 What's pathetic is trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill. We didn't lose today because Danns said something innocuous after the match. Grow up. No of course not. But it grates after having to hear it all season, the excuses, pleading with the fans to stay with them, the apparent lack of disappointment, Do you think he sounded annoyed? I didn't. He didn't sound bothered at all to me. I want them to be more like Nigel. He's evidently angry. He said the first half wasn't acceptable. He held his hands up with that. And he's not being defeatist either. You can do both. The squad just don't give me the impression they've got the right attitude. They remind me of the England team, instead of feeling every defeat inside and being determined to do themselves proud and achieve things, they're shit scared of failure the fans reaction to it, and are desperate to avoid criticism and pressure. They hate the pressure, clearly.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 He was being interviewed. Do you expect him to stand there in silence? No, I'd rather hear him say something worth hearing instead of the media friendly guff they are taught to say. Cos it's not worth hearing. Something akin to Kitchs post above would have made me respect him more than the garbage he came out with. No of course not. That may well be true (didn't go so can't say) but there have been at various times this season some decent play from some of our players, what there has not been is any consistent teamplay. Just the three things need sorting, attitude, attitude and attitude.......

Grow up. now that is pathetic, show me where I blamed danns for todays defeat ? learn to read you clown before getting personal. he along with the rest of the squad have talked promotion all season then have the nerve to try to say the fans are not patient enough,,fact.. you keep licking the players arses till they break your heart..
mattsmith74 Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Danns on Twitter."Not once did I criticise the fans today, I have nothin but compliments , I compared situation of clubs, some just said that I critisised the fans on the message boards, can some one explain that I never said anythin of the sort on there, thank you for the support #lcfc". Make of this what you will. Seems clear that he (and prob others) read posts on here. I personally think that after a slow start he has been one of our more consistent performers in recent weeks.
