Ah, so you think they probably just monitored his emails or asked the local shopkeeper to call them if he saw anything suspicious.

do you have any information about the local shopkeeper? :P

Then I misunderstood your post, probably because it followed after El Empty's and I'm lumping your posts in with his, for that I apologise.

Whilst I sympathise that Sarkozy may well be electioneering, I took your questioning to be one of sowing the seeds of a conspiracy theory which annoy the hell out of me. I obviously read your questioning wrong.

No problem.

I was simply confused. Now that this thread has made me catch up on the last three days news events - I've been working hard - things are clearer.

No, if it was him, I'm saying that the authorities would have known, not that they wouldn't have known. I think we all know, whether we admit it or not, that a percentage of all security forces are corrupt and/or double agents and don't have the publics best interests at heart. There are too many cases proving intelligence agency people getting up to no good to deny this.

And I think that most people know that France is highly influenced (some might say controlled) by zionist Jews in it's leadership, military/security ranks and media. Isn't Sarkozy one, not sure?

Do you use the term 'shadowy zionist' to try and make out that they are some kind of fairytale? Alot of people know of their power and influence over most governments in the world up to this day (going back over 100 years), and of their part in some major world events from the Russian Revolution to WW2 so I think the days of pretending their power is some flight of the imagination are long gone.

Please define a Zionist.

The authorities did find Merah pretty quickly, which implies to me that he was on a watchlist, so once the crimes occurred and they had something to go on, they then were able to find him. It also implies to me that he was not regarded as a huge threat and therefore did not have 24 hour surveillance.

I'll try and do as you ask BreadandCheese when I come back later, about 8pm most likely, must go for now  I'm sure that you know what a zionist is, but are probably expecting me to coffer up some gross exaggeration!

Yeah, thanks. You obviously didn't read my post properly.

Under surveillance can mean many things. Where is their admission that they used this device that can hear through houses???

lol True, I didn't provide evidence of them "

using some uber hearing device that can hear through houses."

I just thought you were being facetious in response to the assertion that he'd been watched by police prior to these tragic events.

Now that I know you were being 100% serious I'll stop treating you like a reasonable human being.

Look! Shiny things!:

It's more that the term Zionist/Israeli/Jew are used interchangeably. When you're not sure how they're being used, then it can quite conceivably be considered that you're skating pretty close to classic anti-semitism with its imagery of shadowy Jewish figures controlling the world.

Even above, you allude to French ZIonist Jews controlling France. It is classic Elders of the Protocols of Zion stuff, the anti-semitic document that has been proven to be fake and nothing more than a document to stoke up anti-semitism. It was the imagery used by the Nazis and is something we should all be against.

... and all of this happens when the French economy tanks. Useful distraction eh?

Meanwhile, French private sector contracted for the first time in four months in March, the flash results of a survey by Markit Economics revealed. The composite output index fell to a four-month low of 49 in March from 50.2 in February. Manufacturing activity shrank unexpectedly during the month. The purchasing managers' index or PMI for the manufacturing sector fell to a four-month low of 47.6 in March from 50 in February. Economists expected an increase to 50.2.

Politically, a healthy distraction for Sarkozy, who has come under quite some scrutiny for his leadership abilities (France's part in saving Greece from bankruptcy, slumping French economy)

Socially, very bad days ahead for France. Weapons so easily accessible and a police force that knew about Merah for quite a while.

But on the other hand - they're not German.

I've just seen that Sarkozy is going to drive ahead with more draconian laws for the interweb in France...all of course in the bid to stop terrorists you see. The more I hear about this, the more I think that Cameron is sitting in No 10. going shit, I wish I'd thought of that!

Have you ever thought that what you're being told is actually............The Truth!

Yes, it's not like governments have ever lied to us before to set in motion plans to restrict freedoms .

Maybe in this case what we are being told is the truth , but no-one can now be surprised if the public are suspicious of their convenient opportunism

lol

To be fair Stu he kind of did when not faced by children and unarmed teachers.

Prosecutors said he was shot in the head as he tried to flee.

A disturbing development and a terrible day for France. Had he been anything other than a lone coward, we could have been looking at another Beslan tragedy.

I just hope Sarkozy doesn't over-react and batter an already beleaguered French Muslim community, otherwise next time we could be looking at 40 or more dead next time rather than 4.

The last I heard he was still shooting whilst falling out the building?

Each time I glance at this thread title, I read it as 'Tortoise killer dead'. >_<:doh:

This whole thing gets fishier and fishier if you ask me.

First the official police line is "he jumped out of a window whilst shooting at police and was found dead outside", now they're telling us "nah, just kidding, we shot him really".

I'm never usually one to buy into conspiracy theories but this whole event and the police's official statements are at least farcical, if not malicious.
