This isn't a dig at all cops, just another example of taser misuse I found in my bookmarks I think some cops just get bored and liven up their day with a bit of taser fun and when they're back in their cars they laugh about the noises and jerks the victims made.

the original post does not attack police, merely points out unnacceptable behaviour that leads to an innocent mans death. In the same way that stereotyping about races is unacceptable, so it is about stereotyping police... there are some bad ones who should be discovered and punished. this does not however mean all are bad.

In NSW a taser can be used if an officer is under threat or at risk... NEITHER of these were the case in the murderr of this innocent man. Tasers are deadly weapons and greater control should be instituted.

Slightly off subject but I was talking to somebody about work and they said that on the continent (Spain?) I could get a job as a security guard and would not need a license. They would also give me a gun. I dubious about the accuracy of this to be honest. Might be true with some of the under developed countries that do not have human right control.

I would think there are strict rules about using Tasers but I suppose a person joins the police for a bit of action and nicking motorists all day can be boring so when there is an 'incident' some may get carried away with the moment. Would we all have the self control it takes to access the situation before acting? I think not going by posts in another thread.
