Daggers Posted 24 March 2012 Posted 24 March 2012 I could think if better ways to spend quarter of a million - but isn't this all stinking a bit like the last time this pocket-lining, back-slapping, old school tie bunch of cvnts were in office? http://t.co/fso3Egmy Day after day after day they look like bigger fvckheads than the one before. Someone bring back Spitting Image.
NeilyBoy Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 I saw this on the news earlier and my Dad, who I've always thought to be a reasonable man, tried defending it.
Zingari Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 You must admit that Britain would be a much better place if it were wrapped in 8 inches of cladding though . Stop being so negative people PS these are joke headlines aren't they ? no they aren't , ive just looked
Daggers Posted 25 March 2012 Author Posted 25 March 2012 I wonder how many more sleaze scandals Dave Cummerbund PM can get involved in before he is booted out by his party or the spineless Liberals pull the plug? Especially as its now Tory open season by the media.
Zingari Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 A war in Iran will just happen to start soon enough now and there'll be lots of grandstanding with Obama and then watch his ratings soar .

davieG Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Resigned - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-17503116 Conservative Party co-treasurer Peter Cruddas has resigned after secretly filmed footage showed him apparently offering access to the prime minister for a donation of £250,000 a year. It begs the question what would someone be expecting in return for this?
Zingari Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Cruddas is a brilliant name for a politician , they're a bunch of crud asses
Guest Bilo Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 No wonder the public opinion of politicians is at an all time low. It really does show how weak the opposition are though when they can't make any ground up against this mob.
Zingari Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 No wonder the public opinion of politicians is at an all time low. It really does show how weak the opposition are though when they can't make any ground up against this mob. quite so But it's my opinion that the opposition doesn’t really want to gain any ground just yet . it’s a poisoned chalice. It wants the government to make all the unpopular decisions and then ride in as knights in shiny white armour to rescue us all from the evil doers. A few months down the line when they get back in power , we will all forget that they don’t actually reverse any of the decisions. but perhaps rein in a little . This seems to be my overall view of how politics has worked over the years

Probably because those who have no faith or trust in the Tories also feel the same about Labour and any other political party that might get into power. It would be like the pot calling the kettle black, Cash for Honours? They've all shown they have little integrity when they gain access to the trough and that goes for the local politicians as well.

dave the caveman Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 He's obviously just dangling the carrot in order to get donations, but it is pretty reckless. Almost as reckless as selling life peerages, accepting proxy donations etc. like you get when labour are in power.
Jon the Hat Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Reform of party funding is long past due. This is sadly no different from the way Labour or Lib Dems are funded. There is something about being in Government which makes it fell worse though. Like you should be above it once you are in power. Yuck. In further thoughts, anyone who donated this kind of money would usually be involved somehow with the party they donate to, which would then not seem on the face of it to be an issue. What is galling is the clear message that as long as you can legally make a donation then this kind of access to the party comes with it. If you are a successful British businessman and want to donate some of your hard earned cash to any party then fine (as it stands). What I think is wrong is the idea of any lobby group or wealth fund being able to get in in the same way. Clearly this is what the rules on foreign donations are supposed to stop. Looks like they dont work.
Tielemans63 Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 The current government make me so angry. They are just so bare-faced in their attempts to re-establish total elitism and to destroy any possibility of social mobility. Not a day goes by I don't hear some arrogant Tory cvnt talking out of his arse and end up punching my steering wheel out of sheer rage. They are unashamed in their nepotism. If they are somehow re-elected in 2015 then I'm emigrating - seriously. That's how much I hate them - being a teacher I'm seeing first-hand their destruction of the education system and, quite frankly, it's disturbing.

Tielemans63 Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Yeah, because it's ****ing wonderful at the moment. I didn't say it was and it isn't but it'll be considerably worse in 4/5 years time.
