Socks Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Im always keen on teams 'form' when it comes up to the last several games of a season to see whos going to be there in the end. This makes us 3rd at the mo: http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/oform.html The teams better than us are already up there enough anyway so i reckon if we keep on going and the other teams go the same way they are heading then we wil JUST make the playoffs also does anyone else have the sneaky feeling our owners will bail if we dont get playoffs? dont get on this forum much but i love the optimism here
Area88 Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Agrees with youth team, the form guide never lies, another victory and the forum will perk up again. Forest was a one off due to player fatigue and fixture congestion, having only 3 days rest and playing the same starting line up took it's toll on our best players who couldn't deliver again so soon after Hull.

Shock. Football team plays on Saturday and then the Tuesday after.

Peterboro's last 5 home form they're 9th Stats are great.
coolhandfox Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Shock. Football team plays on Saturday and then the Tuesday after. To be fair 4 games in 9 days is a tough schedule for any team, including travel for the away fixtures In compression Forest played 3 games in 10 days, that did give them an advantage.

Yeah and they will have missed training or done very light training. Not like they are doing 5 12hr shifts in a row of manual work is it. I am not getting at the result but FFS Wellens gets monday off cos he's 33 and tired I am 46 will my boss give me an extra day off cos I am tired. Really any excuse but don't use that fvcking 2 games in 4 days shite.
m00nie Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Last 5 away form we're 18th. Peterboro's last 5 home form they're 9th Stats are great. this.. stats can be manipulated to sound great by only looking at bits.. and NO i cant see the Thais bailing.. why would they..
Happy Fox Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 this.. stats can be manipulated to sound great by only looking at bits.. and NO i cant see the Thais bailing.. why would they.. Well for a start they have only loaned us the money, and nothing is certain in football.
m00nie Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Well for a start they have only loaned us the money, and nothing is certain in football. you keep trying to bring this up, just because its a loan you think no financial risk is with them ?? how would they get the loan back ?? whos going to want to buy us?? they have re branded the stadium KING POWER.. there own brand, you think they want to walk away from that tied to failure?? getting to the prem will bring them LOADS of exposure, more money for the football club AND there business name... just because they have not took the money out there actually back pocket dont mean there not tied and comitted. if owning football club was that risk free dont you think ALL the clubs would have rich owners fighting to buy them....
stourbridgefox Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 We might lose on Saturday. But does that mean we won't make the playoffs? No it doesn't. The most useful way of looking at the form for the last 8 games is as a prediction for the next 8. If it is relatively similar then clubs like Birmingham, Blackpool and Middlesboro are going to be struggling to stay in the playoffs while Leicester are going to be piling on the pressure. No doubt there will be loads of posts claiming it is over if we lose to Peterboro, but there have been every time we have dropped points recently and they haven't been right yet!
Carl the Llama Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 In compression Forest played 3 games in 10 days, that did give them an advantage. Normally teams struggle under pressure.

I like your optimism and I agree with you again. This topic and the form guide has kept my hopes high so thankyou. A win on saturday and i think we will be very unlucky to not make the playoffs at this rate. But like you said, it's not over, if we should lose.
