Right, I was just wondering if anybody uses this network? I saw their advert on TV last night and decided to check them out, they offer 400 minutes,Unlimited Texts and Unlimited Internet for £15 a month but it's still classed as PAYG  and as they run as part of O2, I get to keep my existing number. I just wanted to know if anybody uses them and what their like.

Cheers.

I lived with a couple of guys who were on Giff Gaff last year. They raved about it and they do some good deals and offers. I think I remember one where if someone calls you get you 5p credit for every minute of the call. I have a sim card ready to use for when my contract ends.

Cheers, I'll order my sim now then. :D

leicfox, I've filled my details in but when I click on send my sim, it brings me back to the same page. :/

My daughter uses it and we pay the monthly fee of £10 in our case. She can't go over the phone call allowance so it means we don't get huge bills, we can monitor her usage in terms of calls. She likes it cos its got so much free. Seems pretty reliable although there were issues with the password not being recognnised this month. Resolved and all's well.

It don't matter then, just order the normal way. Cheers for trying though. ;)

Does that mean it's more expensive to call someone on GaffGaff?

No, not as far as I'm aware. One of the guys used to get people who had excess free minutes on their contracts to call him for a few minutes so he could get a little bit of credit. His friends never complained about doing this. I'm no expert on Giff Gaff as like I said I haven't started using them, my contracts not up until August, but I've not heard any thing bad about them.

Edit: I'm not sure if everyone gets that deal you highlighted.

That does seem like a brilliant deal, but I've had the same number for the last 11 years, and sad sack as I am I've grown accustomed to it. As I am not with o2 then I will have to watch from the sidelines once again with envy and resentment.

Ring your current provider, and ask for the PAC/Transfer code.

Just to let you know..

Thanks for ordering an extra SIM

It'll be leaving the warehouse shortly.

When your friend activates this SIM they'll get £5 credit and you'll see 500 points appear in your next Points statement. Easy.

thanks again.

If I do this will I still have to pay for the rest of the month? Or will they charge me up until today?

I think you get charged for an extra month.

Feb last year I moved from O2 to Orange, asked for a PAC code in January and they said I still had to pay for my final month.

But you used the code there and then and it was all fine?

I can't quite remember fully. I think current provider will give you the code, then when you contact your new provider, they'll ask for that code and you just give it to them.
