Bob Weasel Fox Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 We are so utterly pathetic its untrue. Im really fed up with the state of the club at present. ive only managed to get to 5 games this season due to shift work and personal reasons but havent seen us win at Home!!!! We lost against Bristol City, Reading and West Ham and drew with Portsmouth. The only game i saw us win was away against Coventry on the opening day. Utterly pathetic, shambles of a club. Just incase anyone cant tell im really p*ssed off right now!!!!
Josh_Leicester Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 And Nige came here because of???????? unfinished business? Ambition? He was having to manage/spend time in Hull?! I'm sure it's a lovely place really... Money probably played a part, but I genuinely don't believe it was the only factor if at all. Hull - never going to make the Prem. Leicester - Potential to get to the Prem in 18 months, with owners that have 1 mission and 1 mission only.
fleckneymike Posted 23 April 2012 Author Posted 23 April 2012 Pearson came here for the money this time and first time round. Every manager we've ever had came here for the money, 99.9% of players came here for the money. I'm more than happy for a manager to come here for the money. I'd like us to appoint a manager who instilled a legacy of playing football, heck I'd take finishing mid table next season as long as we played passing football. My dream appointment would be Bielsa, that obviously will never happen. I always enjoyed watching Sean O'Driscoll's Doncaster (and yes I know they were shit when he left and have just wound up relegated), I was also impressed with DiCanio's commitment to passing football at Swindon, if Martinez walks from Wigan I'd wait as long as it took and appoint him (though I reckon we'd have to get in line), and I'd also consider Mrs Doubtfire.
whitwickfox Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 I have to agree pearson came here for the money..trebled his wages Since being here, he has bought in three players and two of them are just very average
FrankieADZ Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 seems to me..like the same sh*t different day. Harping on for Pearson to go...itss just 1 forever turn cycle if we get rid, he cost money to get in..& his staff too. and if we sack hin he'll get compo then.. can u see how this is going....

MattyFromLE Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 Some of you are so pathetically negative it's untrue. Why do you even bother getting out of bed? I, for one don't care who our manager is, who plays for us or whether we play 'boring' football or not. I'm a Leicester City supporter, and always will be. I really understand some negativity after a overly disappointing season, but come on. Some comments tonight have been woeful. Let's rebuild, reevaluate, and get promoted. Stop with the knee-jerk, jump on the scapegoat bandwagon attitude some of our fans have and actually get behind the lads. See you next season. We'll beat Leeds.
flowwolf Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 Here's a bit of advice: Don't bother with next season. Good advice which I am sure thousands of season ticket holders will take on board. Just think 8% hike in prices , Pearson still the manager, Hoofball, the best players will have left to be replaced with more journey men only here for the money , and Top sells the club back to Mandy. What's not to look forward to ?
stourbridgefox Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 I'm renewing tomorrow and I'm looking forwards to my 23rd season.
Walker Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 Pearson is out of his depth and should be out of the door. Oh f*** off. Name me a manager who will come here and deal with this bunch of overpaid nobody's? We need stability at this stage not twats like you calling for the managers head every 5minutes. Christ almighty. P.s. Sorry for being so eloquent
fleckneymike Posted 23 April 2012 Author Posted 23 April 2012 These 'overpaid nobody's' will be hear from some considerable time as they are on 3 year deals. I don't happen to be of the opinion that they are poor players or lazy players. I happen believe that the have been set up to play in a dull fashion which serves only to highlight what inadequacies they might have. Rather than wait 3 years for their contracts to expire so Nigel can recruit energetic players who run around an awful lot, I'd rather we appoint someone who can get this squad to perform, thus saving the club a small fortune as we need replace only one man and some coaches rather than 11 men. I also believe that most managers seem to cope ok when tasked with using 'other peoples players' so I don't think it too unreasonable to expect our chap to do likewise. Once again I'd to assure folk that I am not being knee jerk as I never wanted Pearson to return in the first place as I felt he was unsuited to the squad we had assembled as well as the fact that I find his sides incredibly dull to watch. He is out of his depth as he was recruited to get us promoted and he has failed to do so. Regardless of next weekends results we will end this season with fewer points than last season. I tolerated our underperformance when Sven was in charge because I had witnessed in the previous 12 months some very entertaining football. I will tolerate an eternity in the championship provided we play entertaining football, Pearson could stay for life if he played the game on the ground and encouraged us to pass and yet we always finished 14th. I have no interest in watching the ball launched like a projectile from WW1 upfield in the vain hope we can recreate the Walker, Deane and Dickov axis.

I may be of the same persuasion as the football hasn't been good enough, I absolutely agree with that. However, there's one critical thing which should not overlooked regarding Pearson's management. He got his group of energetic players who run around a lot into the playoffs in his first full season in the championship. He also built a very good squad at Hull in a short space of time. Now what happens to those on big three year deals remains to be seen. If you mean the likes of Mills, Paintsil? Said players couldn't perform under Sven and couldn't deal with life under NP, how many managers should we get through to get the most out of these players? I'd imagine at least Championship level clubs would take them off our hands, obviously incurring a great loss, but that's the way it is, and the way it will be should Pearson be given more time. I'm not Pearson's biggest fan, but I fail to see how you can say he's out of his depth given what he (potentially) could have achieved in his first spell, and the legacy he left at Hull (who should have got in the playoffs had they put a manager in charge not a club hero)

I just don`t buy this " over paid player" excuse. There are plenty of other players earning lots in the Championship. Take West Ham last night, Nolan was probably the highest paid player alongside carlton Cole on the pitch last night. Both of them were excellent. It really is about the manager! I work in leadership and management, and it is amazing how people that have been written off by everyone can flourish under the right leadership. Is it just our bad luck at Leicester that we have the only squad who are overpaid and can`t be arsed? No. All the Pro-Pearson campaigners will say what a strong manager he is, how nobody messes with him.. well how come we are still talking about "over paid players" after he has been in charge so long??? Sorry, this is NP who needs to be accountable here. He has never got a team promoted from the Championship and has failed in 2 out of his 3 championship seasons in even getting into the play offs!!

Some legacy.

beemeroo Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 Yes I do want another manager, I didn't want Nigel back as I dont and didn't enjoy the way he sets his teams up to 'play'. I don't want enthusiasm, Trevor Benjamin was enthusiastic and young but sadly he was also shite. Running around a lot chasing the ball indicates that you haven't got the ball because some goon has instructed your centre backs to hoof it forwards. All I want from my club is to try and play football properly, if we win some games along the way all the better. I don't like spending £500+ on home matches to see the ball in the air and lots of blokes running around trying to get back the ball they have just so needlessly surrendered. Too true. I wouldn't setup a 5-a-side team to play like we have at times this year. Certainly wouldn't want to spend millions of pounds doing so as Top and co have done. Oh, and I'm not anti Nigel. If anything I would actually preach patience, but it still doesn't make me feel any better about the performances we turned out at Watford and Millwall and others like them.
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 He did a great job at Hull... He had to completely re-hash their squad and made his own cash pretty much with sales.... He signed Koren, Hobbs, Chester, Dudgeon, Evans and McLean for a total of about 2.5m, half of Matt Mills price..... Think what he could of done with 5m here... He got big Wes for 1m for a start so we'd prob be laughing now
roachmachine Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 As archerm rightly says, we have not been good enough all season, and any team that only manages back to back wins twice in a season, dosn't deserve to get promoted. Will that trend continue next season?? who knows, i hope not tho, as without doubt this seasons efforts have def not been good enough. I imagine there are an awful lot of people pondering whether or not to rewew expensive season tickets, do we, just in case we have a great season, or don't we, just in case we have to endure yet another season of complete dross like this one, mmm decisions, decisions

seenitall Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 And yet they were above us by 2 points after 13 games. Remind us what happened after those opening games? Two summers rebuild, his own team and still a whole 2 points better than City after 13 games of the new season - you'll never give it up will you, the owners screwed up with the sacking, then screwed up by not having a replacement and then screwed up by paying well over the odds for someone that they thought (rightly as it seems, in your case) would keep a chunk of the following towing the party line. They weren't to know he had lost his mojo (although they could have looked at last years and this years table) but whoever on earth heard of someone sacking a manager to get one who was only two points better than them after quarter of a season in the same league?? It's ridiculous and it has backfired badly - they need to get some one with football experience to help them fast (probably not Sousa though) and sort their mess out
