Sky Sports News HD has taken a look at the overall table from all 20 seasons to find out.

FEWEST WINS: Swindon (5)

MOST DRAWS: Aston Villa (240)

How the **** are we below Cov?! Cant be right surely!!!

Well, think about it. It depends on how long the club have been in the Premier League. For example, Swansea have conceded the fewest goals, but they've only been in one season, where as Tottenham have been in since the start and have had the opportunity to concede more goals, as they have.

I believe, off the top of my head, Coventry were a founding member of the Premier League (when it started, in 1992) and were eventually relegated to the second tier, Championship, in 2001. So, this means they have been in the division more seasons than us, and therefore have gained more points and scored more goals than us, or whatever the table reads.

They had a couple of good seasons mixed in with the relegation battles.

We also had two appalling seasons with few points accumulated.

Didn't realise they'd been in the prem from the start right up until they went down. Suppose that explains it then. Wouldn't have expected the points gap to be as wide though due to our succsess under MON

Yet another irrelevant stat. Football began before 1992 people, it is an arbitrary year in a statistical context.

I totally agree I hate all this top premier league team / scorer etc as if football only started in 92, it is disrespecting the other 100 years plus of top flight football pre sky.

No, it's a stat based on 20 years of Premier League football. Personally, the football played in the Championship is more appealing to me, and the rubbish that goes around the Sky machine annoys me, but this table is still interesting, and documents our recent successful showings in the top flight in quite a favourable light. No more or less interesting than a similar table postwar, or pre Prem or anything else, but this is timely at a significant anniversary...
