The Arsenal forward revealed the logo for Irish bookmaker Paddy Power during celebrations of his second goal, a move which appeared a clear violation of Uefa rules. Regulations ban any advertising on players' kits during the Euro 2012 finals.
bmt Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 Great advertising for Paddy Power now it's plastered all over the news. Well done UEFA, handled it well....
21st Century Fox Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 I imagine Paddy Power will cover his fine and pay him a hefty fee. Can't quite understand why you're do it when you're looking for a career reinvigorating summer transfer, can't look good.
Fox in the North Posted 14 June 2012 Author Posted 14 June 2012 Because he's always been a bellend. Bellend does seem a fitting name for him.
Leicfox Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 What makes this better is that the Danish FA is sponsored by Ladbrokes. Nicklas Traitorelli will be playing for Atletico Kebab if he's not careful.
Finnegan Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 As an aside, I know it's awful, but the Paddy Power vuvuzela advert makes me giggle everyday.
ScouseFox Posted 18 June 2012 Posted 18 June 2012 Been fined a massive 100,000 euros. Not actually massive if you think about his probable wages, but ridiculous if you think a few months back Porto were fined a fifth of that for racist fans against Man City, and other teams have been fined a lot less than Bendtner for much more serious things. Uefa

Uefa I find the sight of someone's pants more offensive than a bunch of racists. I wish this fine could be extended to all the youths in their baggy trousers showing off their kegs which I did not elect to see.
Captain... Posted 21 June 2012 Posted 21 June 2012 Maybe they thought he was being racist with the term paddy... ...can't be that they would have fined him less: Rio Ferdinand and Vincent Kompany have criticised Uefa after Croatia's fans were fined £64,561 fine for racism.Croatia's punishment for fans' abuse of Mario Balotelli was more than £15,000 less than Nicklas Bendtner's £80,000 fine for revealing sponsored pants .
