Can you? I looked absolutely everywhere for it, it really did my head in. Can you change it so when you click on a club it takes you to their squad first too?

Yes mate both in preferences.

I'm sure I read on Game's website they only send out the beta codes on a Thursday, so if i order now i cant play until thursday. can anyone confirm this?

Try somewhere else then and use their 'contact us' feature if you are unsure. I can't see why that would be the case with all retailers.

Will I get the beta code straight away if if buy the game on the 'Green Man Gaming' that you previously linked?

I'm really confused because the release date isn't for another 2 weeks. If I buy the game from greenmangaming right now, will I be able to play it straight away?? Is there no catch at all? And what is the beta version?

According to a moderator on their forums yes you will. Currently available for £22.99.

The game description states this

Vouchers not valid on this product. Pre-purchase now and receive access to the FM 2013 Beta!

http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/gb/en/pc/games/sports/football-manager-2013/

You don't download from them, they give you a key which you use to unlock your game on Steam and download through Steam.

Thanks ill try it now!

Quick question, does it have the player kits and squad photos etc? Or will they be added when the real game is released

The OFFICIAL version of FM13 isn't released until 2nd November and that is what you are purchasing. By purchasing before release you gain access to the beta version and can play immediately. It obviously hasn't to be from participating retailers of which greenmangaming is one.

Where in preferences? I looked all over, couldn't find anything in "sound & display" which I expected it to be in.

Licenses allowing, yes. People are already working on updated megapacks for those missing although I personally never bother.

I can't remember exactly as I've removed FM12 from my computer but I think it is where you can change player attributes from numerical to graphical IIRC. It's definitely there though because I changed them myself.

This year it is called 'player screen' and 'team screen' respectively so it might be same on 12 although the layout has changed quite a bit from last year.

I just bought it off Steam, seemed a lot easier

Steam is expensive, when you buy elsewhere you copy and paste a key from your e-mail into steam and it's then exactly the same. I paid £19.50 when Steam was still £30.

Not sure if anyone knows, but you can have more than 1 person playing FM at the same time from the same steam account. So basically it cost me and my mate £15 each.

Only thing you'd miss out on is network game. Well I'm guessing anyway.

No you can't unless your on the same computer at the same time with a two manager save. To log in on one computer you'd have to be logged out on the other.

Someone else checked for me-

If you go to Preferences > General and at the top right, you can change the 'Default player section' to 'Attributes'

Yes you can as we're doing it right now on separate computers. You don't have to be logged in to play FM, you only have to be logged in to start it up. So if he's playing and I go on, then it logs him out of Steam and puts me in whilst still keeping him on the game.

If you don't believe me try it with someone you know.

You'll be able to play it straight away, beta versions are generally still testing versions - so if they spot any massive bugs that'll (hopefully) be fixed before the proper release.

First impressions - a lot better than FM12. I didn't enjoy 12 that much, but so far this is good.

I'll take you word for it, I didn't think that was possible. I knew you could play offline but I thought it wouldn't let you sign in on one computer if you're account was offline on another. I had problems changing computers before but fair play.

Just don't get caught out or you'll be banned from Steam I'd imagine.

I doubt you'd get banned for doing it. I did it all last year and surely it's their fault for allowing it to happen?

But anyway, just a tip for anyway who wants to pay less. Don't blame me if anything goes wrong, but mine works fine :D

I think you would but I'd imagine they would have to actively look to find out and as long as you leave one logged off and don't keep signing in and out on two distant computers you will more than likely never get picked up for it.

Personally for the sake of £20 I'd rather go legit but fair play to ya.

I don't have the internet still yet at my new gaff and am running off of a free dongle given to me by Sky whilst I wait for them to hook me up.

This is the longest download of my life. I'm already at an hour and still have another hour to go.

Order from ShopTo and you'll get it a day early.

Although I'm not sure if they lock the game until midnight, something tells me they do but I'm not sure.

You should get a key for the beta straight away or why would you bother? Even if you don't want to play the beta you can use it as a pre-download to save you time when the full game goes live. If you've ordered online from Shopto check your account to see if you have a key and if it's from a shop then they have given you a card of some sort with your key on it.
