Managed to sell Hatem Ben-Arfa for 17.5 mill to chelsea and sold Obertan to norwich for 4.2 mill.

Brought in Shawcross, Strootman, Ruiz, Vossen then Shelvey and Yussef on loan.

Also had to offer Demba Ba a new contract so i didn't have to sell him for 7 mill!

Is it just me or does this game not feel finished at all?

I know they say the game isn't really out until February once all the patches are out but it just feels off. Bad goals, loads of penalties, team can either pass or not depending on the game (leading you to know if you're going to win or lose after 10 minutes) and yeah, something doesn't feel quite right about it.

I dunno, you'll probably tell me it's my tactics or whatever.

I bought it through Steam so don't have one.

EDIT: I'm supposed to be able to restart steam and it'll update itself but it hasn't. I've tried checking for updates but says there aren't any. And I can't open FM13 using either the desktop shortcut or through steam.

Any ideas?

Might get some sort of challenge for myself going where I try and win as many top leagues as possible on the game. I started as Anderlecht the other night, finished 2nd in the main season and then won the league in the retarded "Championship Play-off" league format they have. Club Brugge won the league outright and then finished 4th in the play off 10 game shoot out. I think they then went on to a play off final for the last European place and lost that )

I got bored of that quite easily so after just one season, I started a new game in the Czech Republic in Sparta Prague. Started that off quite well and the league looks like it's going to be a piece of piss. Hopefully gonna be able to make more of my chance in Europe than I did with Anderlecht too.

Might seem quite easy and obvious just picking the dominant team in the division but it's quite a fun challenge personally having to get to know players from countries i'm barely aware of

Won the league comfortably with Sparta, somehow managed to get Tomas Rosicky on loan for the second half of the season. Had Tomas Hubschman on loan for the season aswell and managed to turn that into a permanent. Got Kozak from Lazio on loan for two seasons right from the start. Kadlec is god. This season i've got Anthony Annan on loan, Danny Nounkeu on loan, Rosicky on a season long loan aswell as Tomas Necid on loan. Loan market is easy to abuse on here

It so hard to find a decent formation on this game, I can't win no matter what I try.

Every year I say I'm not buying it and then cave in!

Downloaded this over the weekend (I've not had any problems with Steam, despite all the bad press - in fact it's a pretty convenient way to buy the game). Started a new game with Leicester. Did consider Portsmouth as a "challenge" but they really don't have a pot to piss in. Hoping that the current City squad should be good enough to achieve the chairman's aim of a top half finish.....

any help would be much appreciated, however.

8th at the moment as Leicester going into November and hardly managed to sign anyone of note (Keane the Man Utd defender, Michael Tongue and Bradley Wright Phillips are my only additions although Keane is quality and scored 3 in his first 4 from defence). Also re-signed Trevor Benjamin for sentimental reasons but he broke his leg in his second game.

Struggling to win at home in the league but away form is decent (managed a 4-0 win at Ewood Park against top of the table Blackburn). Also into the 1/4 finals of the Capital One cup after an extra time win against Everton.

I seem to have so many players getting injured though and Knockaert has broken his leg in the win against Everton so he's done for the season.

Yeah I had to uninstall FM13 and re-install it again via steam. Thankfully I've finally got internet at my new gaff and it only took half an hour to download instead of the 2 and a half it took on the dongle.

Been out all weekend so haven't had the chance to play it yet though.

some of the goals i concede i can not legislate for, ****ing stupid, i feel its very predictable when the other team is going to score, it ping pongs around your team for about 30 passes. then a perfect through ball regardless of whether its Xavi or bloody Barnet's CM. ive stopped playing it now. just frustrating the goals you concede that even Ipswich haven't this season

Looks okay. Needs a lot of work on his dribbling (to the extent where I'll be amazed if you get it much about 12 / 13 by his prime) and his bravery will give you issues if you want to actually deploy him in the target role his stats make him superb for.

You'll find batter regens but he's definitely good.

The only thing on football manager that annoys me is that it takes me ages to find a team to manage, i'll manage a team and get bored by the time the season starts!

That's not really a problem with the game, it's you. Just pick a team and stick to it.

Not necessarily. Think this version is being a bit more dynamic with player values. I've signed a couple of people at Palermo from obscure teams and their value has immediately jumped almost by virtue of our buying him.
