Just keep throwing the accusations....

If I come across as thinking I know about everything I apologise, I certainly don't and never intend that to be the case, I do like to offer an opinion on things and how I see it and I'll continue to do that.

I won't converse with people anyone who think they can throw insults at people from behind a keyboard, they are the biggest cowards of the internet.

If i met you and you talked the way you post on here in person, I'd still say to your face the exact same thing. You are extremely and exceptionally vocal about everything political or related. I'm no keyboard warrior and I'm not shy of asking people to back up their opinions with how in fact they've come to their conclusions be it through personal experience in work or in life (and not 'some blokes I know), or actually have read a respected journal or review and can evidence this, I'd say the same thing to your face or anybody else for that matter who comes across the way you do.

It's not rocket science, you're a intelligent bloke. You know exactly what the story is.

I've got no problem with anything you have said to me, it hasn't crossed the line of being insulting or abusive.

Got to admit, when in a uniform some dick wants to be clever.

During the early 90s whilst training at HMS Raleigh we had a few days on the moors, at the end of that time we were allowed into a village pub which was quite full to get some decent food and a few drinks, though we were not allowed any spirits lol but just being in there in uniform had some big bearded werewolf of London, pig farming type to start mocking the uniform, could have turned very nasty :sweating:

The cafe staff at that place could easily have shown a bit of common sense but in some places policy is policy regardless.

What a ridiculous policy. I'd have given anyone in service uniform coffee on the house. It's not exactly expensive is it? Mr Brown, you're a miserable, disrespectful sod. Change your policy!

Just playing devils advocate here, but because your opinion of the military is different it's ridiculous?

It can be a touchy subject and can 'cause offence'. I don't agree with it personally but they're a big company, they have policy. Maybe a little bit of discretion from that particular manager wouldn't go amiss.

To be fair at least he is sharp at picking up on my hypocrisies.

Ridiculous to ban anyone in service uniform from a cafe? Yes

Why? Because you're in support of the armed forces?

If society didn't have opinions then I'd agree with you, but they do, and for some reason some people feel very strongly about this subject and probably cause trouble of far less. For that reason they have policy, as I imagine a lot of other places do.

If I had a cafe I'd ban Gary Numan fans.

All that "Oi! Jo the waiter - over here" and replying to what they want with "Oh didn't I say!". It'd do my head in.

Might as well ban people for the colour of their skin, their sexuality, their religious beliefs, oh wait, that's all illegal

Having a dress code is not unusual, such as hoodies in shopping centres, football shirts in bars, and thongs in Aussie pubs, they are not banning the people, but the fact they are in uniform, because the uniform attracts attention and causes problems. That probably says as much about the establishment as the squaddies, but if you know a couple of guys in fatigues means there is greater chance of trouble then you are within your right to ban them.
