21st Century Fox Posted 3 July 2012 Posted 3 July 2012 Iker Casillas asked the ref to blow the final whistle early out of respect for Italy Up 4-0 against a 10-man Italian side in the Euro 2012 final, Spain captain Iker Casillas made it that much harder to not like him by asking the official to cut the three minutes of injury time short and blow the final whistle. Casillas, who became the first player ever to win 100 international matches and also set a record by going 509 minutes without conceding a goal in the tournament (beating Italian legend Dino Zoff's previous record of 494 minutes) with that win, called to the ref and said, "Respect for the rival." "Respect for Italia," he repeated before saying the score to make his point that enough was enough. The ref then immediately blew the final whistle and Iker shook hands with the official before Spain's celebrations began.
Tielemans63 Posted 3 July 2012 Posted 3 July 2012 Was reading yesterday that Spain are European Champions at U21 and U19 level and their U17s are world champions. Might bet on Spain to win the next 10 major tournaments!
AyewJoking Posted 3 July 2012 Posted 3 July 2012 Bollócks! I reckon he was knackered. Either that or he needed a shít.

Think I worked out a double for them to win the next World Cup and European Championship's was 21.5/1 (SkyBet) Personally I think i'd want abit more than that. I'm a greedy cunt though!

I'm a greedy cunt though! Nah, that's not greedy - just under 22/1 for that is tight! You'd expect 33s at least for something as unprecedented as 4 titles in a row - worth a bet though, just don't forget where you put your bet slip in 4 years time!
