reynard Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 As normal I don't care who wins as long as it's a good game, 3-2 to someone would suit me. So you're already looking forward to penalties then! We all know what will happen. Spain will complet 3500 passes of which 3450 will be less than three metres and mostly backwards or sideways. They will keep possesion for 85% of the match and will eventually win 1-0 after Italy have fallen asleep. Spain may be technically briliant but personally I've seen more entertaining paint. I really hope Italy can take a 2 goal lead and then Spain will actually have to come out and try and score. My guess penalties victory to Spain or 1-0 to Spain. It has been a very disappointing tournament with very few entertaining games. Some of the play has been really poor and so negative.
Saxondale Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 I know what channel I'll be watching it on anyway! ITV will be lucky to get a dozen viewers given that BBC are also showing it. As for who I want to win? Dunno really. I prefer the Spanish to the Italians generally, but I've got a bit bored of all the Spain bumming. Who cares.
Matt Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 Hmmm now will Spain play with a striker. Thinking of Torres first goalscorer, Spain to win 2-0 @ 40/1. Also, Ballotelli first goalscorer, match to finish 1-1 @ 40/1. Right David Silva FGS, Spain to win 2-0 then @ 55/1.
Tom17LCFC Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 The most boring game in the history of games is approaching...
Rincewind Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 I was surprised Italy beat Germany. If they hadn't scored fair early Germany would have done it but they could not cope with Italy's play which allowed Italy to be more open. They probably went on the attack because Germany are more ofan ttacking side and did not want to defend 90 min. Spain are different so Italy may have to adapt. If Spain want to pass it around Italy hassel them so they lose the ball or their heads. Gary Lineker 'If you'd rather watch the closing ceremony than our drivel...'
Matt Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 Was there any need for the 'choir' singers for Spain? Considering there are no words to the Spanish national anthem? Just sayin'...
BoneDog Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 I'm just hoping for a few goals and a bit of drama. Good start from Spain.
I am Rod Hull Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 No striker nonsense again from Spain. Are Mexico in it?
Matt Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 No more goals please. A boring game from here on in will suit me fine.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 Lovely goal. Italy unlucky to be 2 down. Not sure this is completely over yet though. Pirlo is looking really dangerous every time he gets it and Casillas has been called into serious action 4 or 5 times.
purpleronnie Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 To all those idiots who said Spain are boring. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Matt Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 To all those idiots who said Spain are boring. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA They have been, until tonight
Tom17LCFC Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 To be fair to them, this looks like the Spain of old. Better game than I was expecting. Doesn't take away from the fact they've been the most boring team ever throughout the rest of tournament though.
leicesterisme Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 Had to turn over to ITV and I hate ITV, Lawrenson is a fvcking idiot.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 To all those idiots who said Spain are boring. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA To the idiots who said Spain weren't boring... This is how Spain can play when they attempt to play incisive attacking football. If only they'd been doing this all tournament.

Guest ttfn Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 I think the BBC didn't see those.. Yeah it's a strange one, they just glossed over anything good Italy had done. They had 15 minutes to review a game in which the ball can't have been in play more than 30, and they didn't even look at Casillas desperately clawing away 3 or 4 crosses and beating away a couple of great hits (one was Montolivo, I forget who the other was). Di Natale is causing all sorts of problems. He should have 2 already. Then again, Spain could have scored a couple more since the break.
marko Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 I think the BBC didn't see those.. They didn't see a lot. For all their talk of Spanish possession and chances, they missed the fact chances stats were equal and Italy actually had more possession.
