Who will win the leagues.

I normally do a bet on who will win the Premiership, Championship, League One and League Two.

Last season I had Man Utd, West Ham, Charlton and Shrewsbury. I had the bet each way and won about £60, If all had won their leagues I think i'd have won a thousand or so off a couple of quid.

I'm not sure who i'm going for this season, i've not really had a good look yet, I think maybe something like Man City, Bolton, MK Dons, Southend.

As I said that's just after a quick look, League Two is a really hard league to call this year I reckon, I mean there is no dead cert in the Premiership, Championship or League One but you can pick out of a smaller bunch who stands a chance, whether it's because I don't know too much about League Two i'm not sure but i'd say League Two is quite an open league, alot of teams could win that league.

Just about to start this myself.

Had a good season last year with Man City 4/1 West ham 4/1 Sheff Utd 8/1 Swindon 8/1 so made a tidy profit.

Not sure who to do yet this season but some good odds on show.

Personally think Sheffield United arn't strong enough. League One looks tight though this season.

I can't think who they have bought/sold, a club of that size should be aiming to at least be in the top two though. By far the biggest club in that league this season

A lot of big sides in that division this year; Sheff Utd, Portsmouth, Preston, Swindon and tbf Coventry are one of the bigger sides.. Rekon it will be tight, and should be interesting to see how it shapes out.

lol

I think he has a point though. League One looks tight this season, Coventry havn't lost too many players (Murphy, McSheffrey should be decent at that level) and they've added a few; Fleck in particular. A few teams could be challenging, with one or two suprises. I honestly wouldn't rule Coventry out.

Chelsea won't win the league. Let me save ya some £££

Shouldn't be far off, signed two of the best young attacking players in the World.

Though I'll go...

City

Bolton

MK dons

Rotherham

Look good in attack but very average defensively. Should get 3rd, but the 2 Manc clubs will be miles ahead imo.

They've not sold many, but their 30 goal a season striker is in jail.

Seriously?

Despite defending their way to the Champions League final?

The Manc clubs are not that good, look at Europe last year, amazed neither of them have strengthened considerably.

Chelsea looked fine in defence under Di Matteo, held off Barca and Bayern.

I think United look really weak but they always seem to be up there. Man city are strong and have a great spine to the team in hart, kompany, yaya toure and aguero. Chelsea need two or three more players.......a replacement for drogba is important because lukaku isn't quite ready, unles Sturridge steps up

I think you will see a far different Chelsea next season, no long ball game, Mata, Ramires, Hazard and Oscar carrying the ball from midfield, they have four incredible attacking talents there. Can;t wait to see them formation he comes up with.

Ramires is fantastic to watch, think he's gonna have a massive season. Mata was excellent last season and he gets the best out of Torres. Bit surprised they sent De Bruyne back out on a season long loan though

Nobody fancy Coventry then?

They have got a decent squad for League One, to be fair.

I fancy a cheeky bet on relegation again for them tbh.

IMO they've got more chance of being relegated than being promoted anyway.

I don't know if they've lost many players, but they're a poor team to start with, they have a poor manager, they have no funding, no income through fans as they have no fans, there are always rumours that they are heading towards administration (Rumours that never seem to materialise admittedly - but rumours that do have substance and are believable, surely it is only a matter of time - being in League One will surely only make all their money troubles worse) - If they did enter administration it would obviously spell as points deduction, which will push them even further down the league, as far as I know they still owe about 2 or 3 (If not more) months rent on their stadium.

Don't get me wrong i'm pointing all the negatives out about Coventry but i'm sorry I can't find many positives for them.

The only thing that does put me off putting a bet on Coventry getting relegated is poor odds, maybe i'm just being greedy - Maybe the bookies have the same opinion as me and aren't willing to give any better odds but 14/1? Despite all the negatives i've given I would like abit more value for my money on a newly relegated team to the league.

That said I was too greedy to accept 2/1 on Coventry being relegated last season - I was going to put a fairly big bet on Coventry if the odds were right but was too greedy and ended up with nothing because I turned the 2/1 down.

And just after i've posted that i've just been watching the Midlands news and apparently the owners of the stadium are planning to take legal action against CCFC as they owe 'several months' rent, tried to have a look if I can find any articles about it on the internet but can't seem to find anything.

I see where you're coming from Matt. I still think Sheffield United have more chance of relegation, than promotion.
