Rincewind Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 Anyone play them. In the last week I've been playing Township. Trouble is you need other lonely sods to act as neighbours. There are five different materials to build buildings and eac town produces one main material so you end up with loads of one and none of the others unless you are givem one ingame. So you have to add neighbours to share stuff. All I have is the ingame neighbour. On level 43 now all on my own but I have a dozen buildings unfinished. You can pay into the games but I've spent over a tenner and don't intend spending more. About ready to give up on it. Thing is I was sent an invite to play and they have stopped playing. I ket requests for Farmville and another calle Ville which has awful voice over. I have played the poker quite a bit which is OK. I need glass bricks wood slabs. OK for beams.

Captain... Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 Don't start playing them, by the time you realise they are horrendous time vampires, you have already invested so much time in it you feel compelled to continue playing it to make the hours spent playing not seem like wasted time.

Upgrading factories ow quests are taking too long and have a few buildings queued up unfinished. Just come off. next quest 65 milk at 3 at a time. Will prob get beams at the end.

No I'm not on your list, I have close to 600 friends all for the different games i play, I also get the problem of not getting answers to my requests sometime i have to ask 3-4 times just for 2 items that i need, some of them i will go into just to clear the requests It's not fun finding almost 100 of them .... If i get one more fooking request to play slot mania or any of the other crap facebook games i'm going on a rampage. I know this feeling well, I also get request6s for games i don't play and have no intention of playing, it's hard work find some of them as i can log on and have up to 30 or more requests......I have 1 or 2 that will send a request then will ask me to respond to it via the FB chat box, that's not too bad although one of them has the habit of asking me just as i've stared playing one of the others...

If they are not playing why should I share? Then the flash player crashes and when it restarts theres a window for another game. If Idon't worry about when I complete things I'll manage on my own but they are designed for interactive play. FB makes more money and so do their sponsors when people like me send off for a free mug. Some people will pay for more. Even signed up for a film DVD service. No obligation, a months trial cancel anytime. I left it a week then cancelled. If I forgot they would take £6 a month off me.

On 6 of the Domains in that game........Sad thing is a lot of the bigger players use a cheat that enables them to automatically (It lets you auto attack on other players it also lets you queue up troops that's a simple explanation ) do stuff, they also spend real money to get where they are......... If you as much as dare complain to them you are labeled a whiner and your attacked even more......You can end up being beaten down to nothing by a player that is anything upto 10 - 100 times your might in the game, basically they get bigger while you struggle....... I have played Hot Shot as well not played it for 2 or 3 months now though......I play more than i can cope with really but i'm addicted lol

They are OK at the beginning but as you advance or if you want to advance quickly they ask you to contribute real money. For instance to buld the town up you add decorations and different types of buildings. I added a big tree before I realised it cosrt around 10 of the cash I had bought. I am saving them for other things and already spent too much. You can do a building then there are upgrades which have to be paid for. You may get 1 or 2 credits a day and the upgrade costs 30. On some there is a time limit.

Like i've said they are already there all the game have that ability, and there are people who are addicted to them, I've somehow managed to progress without the need to spend money on the games ( Can't afford to anyway )

I have got to a stage where I need to add friends in order to get a bigger plane and complete a task. Without the bigger plane I am stuck in in Africa and cannot fly to other continents. Anyone tried playing it? You have to transport goods and passengers from city to city as well as open markets to trade in. It is possible to restart which I may do now I knbow how to play it better. I wasted money at the start and did not trade the best way.
