ozleicester Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 Speaking of upgrades, I'm due one soon. I want another Android but not another HTC. Samsung Galaxy S2? I would naturally prefer the S3 but they seem quite dear. Any suggestions? I had the choice between S2 and S3 and the slight benefits of the 3 were, (for me) outwieghed by the size. Its just too big for my pockets, great for browsing etc, but its size makes it inconvenient. The S2 on the other hand is brilliant, best phone ive ever had, does all the basics well, ie calls, messages etc... and the screen is big enough to use the net comfortably, its fast and as you would know android market is fantastic now.
glenny_fox Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 I can't stand being tied into the 2 year contracts they give out now, at ridiculous prices. I ended up jus buying the iphone 4 outright and going on sim only deal with o2, which is ulimited texts 400 minutes and unlimited data for £15 which is quite a good deal.
indierich06 Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 I was with Vodafone until October. Like Matt I also struggled to send a text at work and even at home. I moved too 3 and have to say it's the best network I've ever been on. Full signal wherever I go never struggle to send a text or get on the Internet. I currently pay £35 a month that's with 500 minutes, 5000 texts and unlimited Internet. I didn't have to pay an upfront cost for the phone either. I made the mistake of staying with O2 last year and I wish I'd gone to Three now, I know a few people who are on that network and they say it's fantastic and the prices are good too.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 If any of you are looking to get a phone tarriff online, I'd suggest going through a cashback site like Quidco or TopCashBack. I'm going on a 12 month sim only plan with Vodafone 300mins unlimited texts and 500MB data for £10.50pm Plus I should be getting £60 cashback from TopCashBack making the overall cost for the year around £60, it also comes with a MicroSim for the iPhone4, which is a perfectly good enough phone. And to think I was looking at getting the iPhone 5.
Ashley Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 I have been with all phone networks now and I have to say Three are the best, hands down.
Matt Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 I've pre ordered the new iphone on T Mobile as it'll have 4g first and they're one of the few networks to offer unlimited data. I'm constantly going over allowance on O2 and I'd rather have the piece of mind of knowing exactly what my bill will be each month. That, and I'm looking to change my number as I get so many spam callers. £41 pm and £50 for the phone. Not bad for an all unlimited package I don't think. That does sound good, am I right in saying T-Mobile are basically the same as Orange - They have joined forces and they use Orange signals/service e.t.c, Orange and T-Mobile have got the same price's (That i'd be looking at) which would be £36 p/m and £109.99 for the phone except it's 2000 minutes, Unlimited Texts, Unlimited Internet on T-Mobile and it's Unlimited Calls, Unlimited Texts, 1GB Internet on Orange - T-Mobile is the more tempting deal imo. However for some reason I feel i'm edging towards Three, I only know a couple of people on Three personally, but everything i've heard and read about Three it does seem the best, I think they are the cheapest aswell. Going off O2 and i've heard they aren't actually all they are cracked up to be and the customer service doesn't sound brilliant.
Craig Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 I have been with all phone networks now and I have to say Three are the best, hands down. This. I've been with Three for a few months now having left O2 because of their appalling customer service and cock-ups with my account. Great value compared to the others, and I haven't had any signal issues either. My only niggle with them is their foreign based customer service team, however, when I spoke with them they were very helpful and solved my problem immediately, unlike O2.
Frank_mckenzie Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 O2 just upgraded my phone to a galaxy s3, unlimited calls and texts, 1gb of data and free WiFi through bt for £30 a month
Soar Fox Posted 18 September 2012 Posted 18 September 2012 I have been with all phone networks now and I have to say Three are the best, hands down. Can't agree more. Been with them just under a year now and in that time I have not had one single problem. Also recently both my sisters changed to Three also.
