Jaspa Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 Seeing as the English game has alot of large clubs hovering around in the lower leagues, with large amounts of them being bought out by wealthy investors every year, what would be your ideal 20 teams to have in The Premier League ? Take whatever you like into consideration, the best for the sport or simply your own favourite picks Leicester Forest Derby Chelsea Arsenal Man United Man City Everton Liverpool Sunderland Newcastle Villa Spurs Leeds Cardiff Swansea Brighton Blackpool Notts County Wimbledon
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 You start of by mentioning large clubs then you put in Wimbledon I'm not that bothered but wouldn't mind seeing Rangers and Celtic in there.

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 Read the second line mate I did hence why i said you "started off"
Finnegan Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 Why anyone would include Wimbledon is beyond me. All the wanking over fan made clubs aside, the original Wimbledon flunked because it was a dire, shit, tinpot little club that belongs in lower league football.
Happy Fox Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 What's the difference between Spurs and Tottenham? San Antonio Spurs are a basketball team.
Fox92 Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 Grimsby, Crewe, Rotherham are all clubs I like so they would be in. Don't know really, would have to be something along the lines of (and in no particular order); Leicester Derby Coventry Nottingham Forest Arsenal Tottenham Wolves West Brom Aston Villa Birmingham Everton Liverpool Huddersfield Leeds Wigan Rotherham Crewe Notts County Rotherham Grimsby Derby, Forest and Coventry all get in because we've got something to look forward to. Spurs, Arsenal, West Brom, Wolves, Villa and Birmingham all get in because of their fierce rivalries, making the division better. The remaining 10 teams get in because I basically like them. Although I've done this, no team has a right to play in the top flight.
Finnegan Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 The current 20. They're all there on merit, no club is "too big" to drop through the leagues if its poorly managed, off or on the pitch.
L4EV Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 1. Leeds 2. Manchester United 3. Manchester City 4. Chelsea 5. Liverpool 6. Tottenham 7. Arsenal 8. Newcastle 9. Everton 10. Aston Villa 11. Derby 12. Wolves 13. Nottingham Forest 14. Sheffield Wednesday 15. Sunderland 16. Leicester 17. Blackburn 18. West Ham 19. Southampton 20. Huddersfield
Tom17LCFC Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 I'd get rid of the likes of Fulham, Wigan etc. and replace them with teams like us, Forest, Leeds, Wednesday etc.
kyleolly Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 Get rid of the 20 prem teams and add us and 19 league 2 teams so we'd have a good chance of winning the premiership in my life time or at least get a champions league place
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 1 Leicester City 2 Forest 3 Derby 4 Cov 5 Liverpool 6 Everton 7 Man Utd 8 Man City 9 Newcastle 10 Arsenal 11 Tottenham 12 Chelsea 13 West Ham 14 Leeds 15 Sheff Wed 16 Villa 17 Cardiff 18 Notts County 19 Birmingham 20 Wolves
Haydos Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 I don't really understand the point of this question Why would I care who's in the Prem and why does it matter? The system is a good one and the ones that are there generally deserve to be there.

Pick the 20 teams you think should be in the Premiership Go on merit of size, best for The Football League, entertainment or even your own choice
Haydos Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 Pick the 20 teams you think should be in the Premiership Go on merit of size, best for The Football League, entertainment or even your own choice I guess it's just me then. I just don't really care The league is logically going to be the most entertaining with the most competitive teams in it (Ie. those that were promoted). Size doesn't really matter, I think it's good for small teams to come in and give it a shot. I think the only team I would 'prefer' to be relegated is Wigan because they are constantly hanging and haven't looked like progressing. Other than that, I think it's perfectly good as it is.
accessory Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 Leicester Arsenal Aston Villa Birmingham Chelsea Everton Ipswich Leeds Liverpool Manchester City Manchester United Newcastle Norwich Sheffield United Sheffield Wednesday Southampton Sunderland West Bromwich Albion West Ham United Wolves Don't understand the sympathies towards Derby/Forest/Coventry. Let them fade away, so that fans in those areas, who want to see a decent standard of football, move to us!
Finchy Posted 22 August 2012 Posted 22 August 2012 The current 20. They're all there on merit, no club is "too big" to drop through the leagues if its poorly managed, off or on the pitch. Lighten up, play the game.
