Being dismissive and calling him pathetic for not having done so shows something of a lack of empathy. The crux of these comments is however the way to go based on what's been posted, as much for the bloke's self-esteem as anything. The guy is asking for advice on a football forum. My advice is this, next time she tells you to stop slurping or whatever put down your food / plate, grab her by the chinny chin skin (the skin underneath the chin that you can grasp) and then as hard as you can slap her round the face. Finishing it was very hard as she'd been my best mate and gf for >5 years, but it was one of the best decisions I've made. Sounds like you just need to suck it up and walk.

Repair it with children, they can rescue the most fragile of relationships, make 1 if that doesnt work have more.
