Alexikokopops Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Do it... do it... Unfortunately it would be beyond my usual remit of messing with Finnegan's profile Let's just flood his inbox. If no one else can help you, and you know his email address then maybe you can hire: Wymsey
Guest Bilo Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Good idea - where's Leicesterpool... I'd flood.... No, no. Too obvious.
Steven Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Perhaps if you talk to her about her and her problems rather than stating yours it could well throw a lot more light on the situation than you telling her what's annoying you. Smart advice.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is only one answer for this situation - A good backhands and tell her 'how it is' and all will be well.
Thracian Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 Sounds like she's making your life a misery. Don't put up with it, pal. Move on. Life's short enough without weighing the days down with grief, hassle and heartache.
Saxondale Posted 31 August 2012 Posted 31 August 2012 What do you do if you are engaged to a girl, you live with her, her parents think your a saint, your parents love her to bit and think she's wonderful but just lately neither of you have clicked and you just don't seem to get along any more. Every time something so little happens it ends in a massive row, she gets stroppy at the smallest of things, when she has lots to do she turns into this fricking scary dragon and overall your just fed up with it all and had enough? What do you do? I'm going to give you a serious answer based on my own experience. Sit down and think about how the rows happen.Think about what things upset you and what things upset her. Think about how both of your and her behaviour causes distress to each other.Sometimes it's not necessarily things that are said, but things that are not said. There's always a reasons these rows escalate from nothing. Do your best to think about how they happen and how each of you are feeling at the time and, by doing this, you should be able to eliminate the root cause of them by modifying your behaviour. Your behaviour can upset her, which causes her to behave in a way that upsets you, which makes you behave in a way that upsets her even more and so on... It's a spiral of conflict. Once you figure out the pattern, you can both work on it and it will be OK. Hope that makes sense. Good luck. EDIT: Unless, of course, she's just horrible.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 1 September 2012 Posted 1 September 2012 Good idea - where's Leicesterpool... Jesus I thought that photo in the photography thread was good (of the 4x100m final) but this one's even better!
Heskey2011 Posted 1 September 2012 Posted 1 September 2012 Perhaps take an objective look in the mirror, reflecting on where you've been told you're in the wrong and asking yourself is she right? You could also try writing down what you both originally liked about each other and see if those things still exist and if they don't why and where have they gone? Someone needs to take the initiative and start talking. Just throwing in a few options. This saved my last relationship!
Raw Dykes Posted 1 September 2012 Posted 1 September 2012 What do you do if you are engaged to a girl, you live with her, her parents think your a saint, your parents love her to bit and think she's wonderful but just lately neither of you have clicked and you just don't seem to get along any more. Every time something so little happens it ends in a massive row, she gets stroppy at the smallest of things, when she has lots to do she turns into this fricking scary dragon and overall your just fed up with it all and had enough? What do you do? I really don't think I'm in any position to hand out advice on relationships as I've thrown a couple of really good ones away, but since you've asked, I'll tell you what I think. Bear in mind, though, I have no clue how much of it will apply to your situation. I'm amazed at how much some people will sacrifice just to be in a relationship. I've seen it happen to some very close friends. Some people want to be in a relationship, no matter the cost. They'll give up everything - their time, their friends, their self-respect, everything - just to be in a relationship. It doesn't even seem to matter to them who their partner is or what they're like. It's like they're terrified of being single. I know I've fallen into the same trap before, but only once or twice in my life when I met someone I fell head over heels for. I really can't see why some people seem to want to put themselves through it all the time, though. I think a relationship should be easy. If either party is miserable, then really, what's the point? I've had relationships that worked - where we've both got out of it someone who understands the other, someone who knows how to cheer the other person up, and not much other than a really good time all the time. I won't settle for much less than this now, and I value being single over a so so relationship. If you really think this relationship can be saved, I'd say set yourself a deadline (obviously, don't tell anyone that you have one!), and do your best up to that point. If you're still unhappy when the time you set is up, get the hell out. I think you might have to try to forget considering your parents and hers - they don't have to put up with what you do. Some people think you should work at relationships, but I think you should lean more towards twisting until you find one that makes you both really want to stick. I think it's nigh on impossible to change people, but it's pretty easy to shop around before buying. I think people can waste a lot of time and effort trying to fix something that's beyond their, or anyone's, abilities. Then again, everyone's different. I don't really know what you or your gf is like, and this could well be the last piece of rubbish you wanted to read. Good luck, and I hope it gets sorted one way or the other before long. Here are some far wiser words...
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 September 2012 Posted 1 September 2012 Leicesterpool would let her shit in his cornflakes if she dressed up as Ennis, his advice may not be the best. One of the funniest things I've read in ages!
Jon the Hat Posted 1 September 2012 Posted 1 September 2012 Before you go and do anything drastic, I will point out that all those things you are calling insignificant are the kind of things which look like you are not interested in or being considerate to her. Not knowing about her diet, or picking a film she will like, or knowing where she likes the towels, or remembering to put the toilet seat down. Girls car about this stuff because it shows that you are thinking about them, and often it is not very difficult for you to do. Not doing the little, easy things just makes her feel you don't care, and she is reacting to that. If it were me, I would start by saying you feel like things are falling apart, that you love her and don't want that to happen, and if she wants to, then you are willing to give it everything you have. If she is not willing to try then you need to move on. Good luck.
Guest Posted 1 September 2012 Posted 1 September 2012 Just be thankful that you haven't married her. Agree to part and move on to the next. Sounds callous but it's good advice.

I find it really irritating when others do it, so apologies for the hypocrisy, but this. I've known more than one person like this and have been guilty of it myself in the past. As time goes by though, you realise you're being more than a bit silly and that you're so much better off single than trapped in a loveless relationship.
cambridgefox Posted 11 September 2012 Posted 11 September 2012 'A relationship is like glass, when something makes it break, even if you try to fix it, it'll never be the same'. A famous quote, but very true indeed (my Father certainly knew that in 2001absolutely! - ). (Your fiancee/girlfriend seems any awkward indeed.) I'm only posting as I've been given a PM sent to my email address wanting my 'advice' regarding this topic. Don't expect to see further posts from me again (this forum seems like a place for mental rehabilitation). take wymesy's advice try breaking her glasses , maybe she don't like the look of you How this didnt get more +1s is beyond me.Comedy gold or perhaps it's just me,I think I've soiled myself.
Bettsj2 Posted 12 September 2012 Posted 12 September 2012 Dude, when you're having dinner, tell her all the arguing is getting you down and if she still wants to be with you? If the result is she says yes in a very calm manner, talk to her about it and try and work it out. If however it turns into another argument, it's over. Tell her there and then and get the **** out.

AoWW Posted 13 September 2012 Posted 13 September 2012 So when do we get an update from the OP, then? (I admit it, I'm nosy!)
cambridgefox Posted 13 September 2012 Posted 13 September 2012 So when do we get an update from the OP, then? (I admit it, I'm nosy!) He could be in a police cell if he took some of the advice on here.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 14 September 2012 Posted 14 September 2012 Talk to each other, put the rats on the table and if that doesn't help go your separate ways, you're not engaged to her parents and she's not engaged to yours. In a nutshell. This There is no point going on if things continue like this, as any loving emotions, will quickly turn to hatred.
PWII Posted 28 March 2013 Author Posted 28 March 2013 It got better for a while, now it's back to square one. I spent a long time being patient and talking and listening, it worked for a while. Suddenly out of no where she absolutely slaughtered me over a tiny thing, I said we would look after my parents dog and boom! It will ruin my plans she said. Massive row and now back to every little thing. You breath too loud, you chew loud, stop moving/twitching (I have a muscle problem), I want to watch that program. Etc. it's always got to be her way or the high way over EVERYTHING. When I met this girl we never argued, she was my dream lass but now she is I swear autistic! Literally from he'll. Sheldon from Big Bang is the male version of her. ARGHHHH I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW ANGRY, LONELY AND GENERALLY BUMMED OUT I FEEL.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 28 March 2013 Posted 28 March 2013 Hate to say it chap, but sometimes a tiger never changes its stripes - it's not what you want to hear but it sounds like you need to get rid of her. That said, I'm shit with the ladies so what do I know!!
