Reynard Bleu Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 Anyone going to the RL Football Forum at Whitwick tonight? Tickets available I am told.
indierich06 Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 The armchair fans who phone in every week will all be there, I'm sure - they can't be arsed to go to the games but they won't want to pass up the opportunity to voice their ****ing ridiculous opinions in public like this. We should get someone round there to bolt the doors shut from the outside, keep Stringer and Youngy in there too and keep them there until the end of May, might have a bit more positivity around the club for the remainder of the season!
Fox92 Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 Stringer and Young were talking about this last week trying to get people down. A few will turn out though like the above post says.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 What time is it being broadcast? If at all?
indierich06 Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 What time is it being broadcast? If at all? Don't listen to it Col, after it's over you'll be convinced that the club is going to hell in a hand basket and you'll want to end it all. For the love of god don't listen!
Fox92 Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 Don't listen to it Col, after it's over you'll be convinced that the club is going to hell in a hand basket and you'll want to end it all. For the love of god don't listen! Just like a normal Monday night then.
Corky Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 Dave from Coalville and Andy from Long Eaton must be there, surely?
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 Don't listen to it Col, after it's over you'll be convinced that the club is going to hell in a hand basket and you'll want to end it all. For the love of god don't listen! To be honest Rich I listen to it to sometimes to find out whether someone is going to say something even more bizarre than last week. I'm rarely left disappointed..
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 Dave from Coalville and Andy from Long Eaton must be there, surely? What about Wayne from Hathern? Bet he's there (or equivalent)...
Fox92 Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 I'll listen to it, as I do every monday... Does (or has) anyone on here ever been on it, not for wind up/comedy purposes?
Jaspa Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 Does Stringer still call everyone 'Chief' ? If I ever ring up, and he calls me that It wont be a pleasant conversation But I heard about this thing last week, supposed to be being hosted by a Derby fan and after the normal one hour show is over you get to do a quiz on Leicester City and Steve Walsh and a Special Guest will be there
Tom17LCFC Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 Makes me laugh how Stringer bigged this up as if it would be absolutely rammed and there'd be no chance you could get in on the door Have absolutely no interest anyway, listening to the forum just pisses me off.
foxesfan1989 Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 I can't be arsed to go. In fact I have never even heard of the place they are holding it at. I will defend Stringer and Younger from this onslaught though! I like them both, they do a good job. Stringer knows his stuff, Alan doesn't so much but he has so much passion and he is ex lcfc for gods sake! They make a good double act. Plus if they do make the odd error...its local radio, it's not going to be perfect all the time because of budgets etc.
Mack Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 Makes me laugh how Stringer bigged this up as if it would be absolutely rammed and there'd be no chance you could get in on the door Have absolutely no interest anyway, listening to the forum just pisses me off. I think that has back fired as a proportion of fans thought it was sold out when there are still tickets left. The reason I'm not going is that it was supposed to be free with the 'option' of paying £10 for a q&a session afterwards. Whereas you have to pay the £10 whether you are staying for the q&a or not.
Simo86 Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 My mates asked me if I fancied it, I was nearly tempted, then I remembered how idiotic the majority of callers are. Seeing them in the flesh might push me over the edge!
Reynard Bleu Posted 10 September 2012 Author Posted 10 September 2012 i'll listen in. The phone in is usually so bad its often good and with a live audience it may be a hoot.
Kitchandro Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 Stringer is hardly Mr Negative, in fact he was laying into some of the moronic callers last season.
Fox92 Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 What about Dross oops sorry Ross. He hasn't phoned in for ages. I always like to hear peterborofox's comments on Ross!
Reynard Bleu Posted 10 September 2012 Author Posted 10 September 2012 I like it best when someone on the panel asks a question of the caller who is not really listening and they um and ah and say "yeah, well like I said he's gotta go like, Martin O'Neil finest manager we ever had".
Mack Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 He hasn't phoned in for ages. I always like to hear peterborofox's comments on Ross! I seem to remember him phoning up not so long ago and being rude to Alan Young. His calls are probably binned now.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 "How many games have you seen this season Paul?" "None yet to be honest"
foxesfan1989 Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 "How many matches have you seen this season then?" "Well none actually". Classic phone in haha
Mack Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 Good to see the club sent someone .................
