Quiet before the game starts !

Recommended Posts

Just something Iv noticed this season.. In most games until the game has started we dont sing anything or make any noise ? Surely if we started singing before the game it'd make for a better atmosphere throughout as the tone would be set ?

Just a thought 😕

Any singing before the game gets drowned out by the deafening music they play before KO; it's virtually impossible to get anything going because of it.

Yes! Been saying this for years. People on here always seem to be sending letters to the board, perhaps this is a matter we could actually do something about! (Hint)

Unless, of course, there's anyone who likes the music...?

I'm not saying three hours before kick off just 5 or 10 mins or

No ones there then either! lol

In an ideal world they'd play music up until 30 mins before, then there'd be loads of fans there already to have a bit of a sing song, then they'd play a good version of WYS just before the post horn gallop.

Away fans always sound loud until the game starts and then they're pretty quiet for most of the game.

Absolutely right, I have complained to the Club a number of times about this but you might as well "P--- into the wind" for what good it does.

The music really is a major irritant unwanted and uncalled for. Threat treat us like idiots who don't know how to enjoy ourselves so we need prompting and winding up by some twats idea of mood music. Just another example of how far they are out of touch with the fans.

So much of our matchday experience - presumably guided by advice from the health and safety people - seems specifically designed to discourage or neutralise the build-up of atmosphere. Basically fans are subtlely anaesthetised in countless different ways...both through on and off the pitch guidelines.
