jonthefox Posted 11 October 2012 Author Posted 11 October 2012 Jon, it’s unlikely you would have survived the crash :(Remember me foxtalkers
AKCJ Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 I survived. I didn't bother getting on the flight because I knew it was going to crash.

Libertine Dream Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 Cant believe I looked forward to it, didnt really tell us much although the crash was worth it. I dont know what I expected considering it was obvious to see and obviously it can nver really be factually close. I survived and got a vjew of a ryre nearly coming through the window to boot.

Honestly , it could've lasted half an hour that programme. Slightly stretched it out. One thing we can all take from that though...pilots have balls!!!!
marty78 Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 I`v recorded it, is it worth watching? Not really, no. I think the crash was about an hour in and the rest was shit.
jonthefox Posted 11 October 2012 Author Posted 11 October 2012 I`v recorded it, is it worth watching? The first and last 20 minutes i spose.
Rincewind Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 Survived. Hindered by debris and wireing but exit was just behind me so I chose well this time.
EnderbyFox Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 In seat 23F, it’s likely that you would have escaped injury in the crash impact. At the rear of the plane the impact forces were around half of those at the front, peaking at around 6g – six times the force of gravity. You would have only experienced forces similar to a hit on a fairground bumper car. However, it’s likely you would have been disorientated in the dust kicked up during impact, and your evacuation would have been complicated by overhead panels and oxygen masks hanging from the ceiling in this area.
GLC Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 Chair 12E, i would likely to have survived Edit: Doesn't matter though, i was too busy landing my own plane in the toilet, I would've made her landing site a mess
Guest kristianity77 Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 You just know now that Ryanair are going to charge double for the so called "safest seats"
Rincewind Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 And there will be people queuing up to pay it.
stix Posted 12 October 2012 Posted 12 October 2012 They should have cut off one or two of the engines once the pilots had jumped. I didnt watch the whole thing, did they explain anything about the way they were going to crash land the plane & why? Looked like a pretty lame plane crash! People hardly ever survive them!!

Out of the collective 53,487 people involved in plane crashes in the U.S. from 1983 to 2000, 51,207 survived. So nearly 96% survived
BoneDog Posted 12 October 2012 Posted 12 October 2012 I used to be shit-scared of flying but after watching the programme am not too bothered now. It seems pretty safe. That said, next time I fly some terrorist'll probably blow the plane up.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 12 October 2012 Posted 12 October 2012 It seems pretty safe. That said, next time I fly some terrorist'll probably blow the plane up. They wont need to any more. If they were watching last night they'll know all they have to do is pull up the carpet and tug on those cables and they'll be aeroplane puppeteers
