Alexikokopops Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 I realise that this is a slim hope, but I've somehow agreed to attend Club Brugge vs. Newcastle with a Geordie friend and need a Belgian to try and get us tickets in the home end. They only got 1700 tickets for the away end and all the season ticket holders he knows have entered the ballot. Somehow they saw through our attempt to set up a Belgian email address when we subsequently contacted them in English and are now asking for proof that we're Belgian. Who'd have thunk it?
Raj Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 I've been called a twat,Paki and a Wog in my life, but never a Belgian. Whats a Belgian!!!? Hope that helps Alex! x
ADK Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Surely you don't need to be Belgian to watch a Belgian football team?
Leicester_Loyal Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Surely you don't need to be Belgian to watch a Belgian football team? They'll think he's a Geordie trying to sneak into the home end.
Guest MattP Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Just get one from a tout outside the ground wont be a problem/
James. Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Will it even sell out? You may just be able to turn up on the day and buy one from the ticket office.
21st Century Fox Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Surely you don't need to be Belgian to watch a Belgian football team? Quite a few clubs only sell to residents of the particular country. I'm not sure if it's still the case but Ajax only sold home-end matchday tickets to residents of The Netherlands and if you want to buy them as a foreigner you have to buy a package through the club including including tours and travel. I went to a tout in the end.

I went to a tout in the end. That's the issue with this match because they know they've given such a small allocation to Newcastle. I don't know whether they're expecting a sell out or just wanted to reduce the number of drunk topless Geordies in Brugge but they didn't give them a bigger allocation when requested. Tout is my plan at the moment, we just figured we'd try and sort something out beforehand. Thankfully we've realised we know someone who works at the British Embassy in Brussels. Winner. Bwaaaaaaaahahahsjakhfa;dshfsfkjdhasfk;dsafjdk;! lol lol
