goose2010 Posted 29 October 2012 Posted 29 October 2012 As the Betting Thread is becoming a little over ran with this i thought i would start a new topic. Post your bets and progress and lets see who can get the closest to 10k! The £10 - £10,000 Challenge. Start with £10 in a pot and put a 1.1 or 1/10 bet on daily. It should take 73 days to reach £10,000. No strict rules except you should use your full stake every day! Which means the £10 you started with then all accumulated winnings added to the pot every day, which you then stake on the next 1/10 then the next and so on... Also you could start with £1-£1000 if you just fancy a bit of fun with a lot less risk! If you start with £10 and just bet purely on 1/10's.. these are your winnings... 10 wins in a row at 1/10: £25.93 20 wins : £67.25 30 wins : £174.00 40 wins : £452.23 47 wins = £1,000 <--- Feel free to quit here if you're happy with that! 50 wins : £1173.58 60 wins : £3044.48 70 wins : £7896.16 After your final 3 bets you will have £10509.80! (Obviously quicker when throwing a few 1/6's etc in there) Thats the basics but we do anything from 1/6 - 1/10, Only solid bets we are VERY confident on! Obviously nothings 100% but we'll do our best to make the most of the odds we've got! Quit when it gets too much for you. If you're happy with £200 withdraw it and start again, It's up to you!
goose2010 Posted 29 October 2012 Author Posted 29 October 2012 is that something admin have to do? Think i will be betting on the tennis this week as there isnt much football. First round matches are usually good safe options.
foxfanazer Posted 29 October 2012 Posted 29 October 2012 Starting again Wednesday after getting too greedy yesterday and losing it. Need to be more disciplined! Glad this has it's own thread now
leicesterisme Posted 29 October 2012 Posted 29 October 2012 Had Seppi to win a set at 1/6 in the tennis. Nice start to the day.
welck12 Posted 29 October 2012 Posted 29 October 2012 I started this yesterday morning (i was waiting for the basketball season to start but got bored yesterday) i'm up to around £106 now (around bet 24 ish i think) I did all mine so far on in play betting, usually after 10-20 mins of a game if its still 0-0 the odds on over 0.5 goals are around 1/10, so i did that on nearly every game i could find yesterday. Shortest odds i've gone to so far is 1/6
Jimothy Posted 29 October 2012 Posted 29 October 2012 Just started this again, because like many I got greedy over the weekend. Just stuck it on Rochus at 1/6 in the tennis.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 29 October 2012 Posted 29 October 2012 Starting on the snooker Allen 1/3 Judd 2/9 Ding 1/6
Ashley Posted 29 October 2012 Posted 29 October 2012 Anyone fancy doing the evens challenge with me starting at any of £5, £10, £20 stakes to £1,000?
SystonFox Posted 29 October 2012 Posted 29 October 2012 Whenever I bet evens Ash I lose and it goes against me, FOOK that! Starting 10k challenge tomorrow.will surprise myself if I hold out much after £250 cos I'm a tight coont
Asha Posted 29 October 2012 Posted 29 October 2012 Gonna give this a go. Did the evens challenge in December but losing 20 quid on Wolves failing to beat Bolton at Evens took the piss. I've stuck the 10 on Trump to beat O'Brien. He's 2/9 though so I'm breaking the rules already; doesn't bode well really. I'm a bit of a girl anyway, so I'll probably panic and bank it once I get to 15.
BoneDog Posted 30 October 2012 Posted 30 October 2012 I've got just over £50 now. Started with £12 yesterday. On bet 17 or 18 but have cheated a bit by taking better odds with a few smaller bets in there. Going to do it properly from tomorrow though and put the lot on one 1/7-1/10'er. The profit I'd get back from doing that is now over £5 with each bet so if I win the pot starts to grow quicker. Had a mare in one bet last night but got lucky with a last kick of the game goal for Chivas USA. I'd bet on a home win, away win and a draw during that match like a wally. Put my bets in spoiler to save space cos I might waffle on. Bet 1 Double Southampton v Spurs over 1.5 goals Simon Whitlock to beat Ian White £12 returned £22 Bet 2 In play £20 on Man Utd (when 2-0 up) to beat Chelsea Returned £26.67 Bet 3 In play £27 on Lokeren (3-1 up) to beat Club Brugge Returned £31.50 Bet 4 FC Dallas v Chivas USA £6 on Dallas to win £1.50 on Chivas to win Either comes in returns £9 0-0 74mins (I thought only 5 mins left got time wrong) In play bet £11 at 10/11 on draw Would return £21 Dallas go 1-0 up Put £1 more on draw @8/1 to return £9 Dallas go 2-0 up I feel like a twat Ends up 2-2 in injury time. Total stake £19.50 Returns £30.00 Ended the night with £44ish Today had allsorts of £12 and less in play bets on tennis, basketball and football for small profits. Biggest loss was £5 on Sheff Utd game BTTS. Leicester U21's won me a pound or two. Finished with £52. Proper £10k challenge rules betting tomorrow. Best game ever is this £10k gamble!
BoneDog Posted 30 October 2012 Posted 30 October 2012 Anyone fancy doing the evens challenge with me starting at any of £5, £10, £20 stakes to £1,000? I'll start it tomorrow if you like with £5 but you'll have to tell me what you have to do. Is evens just a 1/1 bet? And keep doing that bet with the winnings until a grand or bust? Edit : Would the first £5 return £10 and just keep doubling? 8 or 9 bets total? I'm a bit of a girl anyway, so I'll probably panic and bank it once I get to 15. I'm the same, canna see me getting far past £400 without withdrawing some. I've never bet £20's before but have now done a few and am just trying to remember that this gamble only cost £12 of my own money. When I hit the £50 mark today I thought "Shall I take £40 out and start again from a tenner?" Smalltime!
foxfanazer Posted 30 October 2012 Posted 30 October 2012 Me and my mate got up to 60, bet 18 or something and then got too greedy and bet on loads of in play games in one day and lost. Starting again tomorrow with more discipline!
SystonFox Posted 30 October 2012 Posted 30 October 2012 what bookies do you all use to bet on over 0.5 goals in a game? i use betfred or bet365 and they only offer the market on o2.5 or u2.5 cant risk it at that and capital one matches are hard to call

When I hit the £50 mark today I thought "Shall I take £40 out and start again from a tenner?" Smalltime! Evens or 1/1. Basically for example you're paying 1 to win 1. So yes it just doubles what you staked. The number on the right of the odds is what you pay, the number on the left is what you stand to win. Eg - 4/9. You're paying 9 to WIN 4, but you get your stake back too remember.
BoneDog Posted 30 October 2012 Posted 30 October 2012 what bookies do you all use to bet on over 0.5 goals in a game? i use betfred or bet365 and they only offer the market on o2.5 or u2.5 cant risk it at that and capital one matches are hard to call I have the same problem on Skybet. They only seem to do 1.5 goals (and 2.5 and so on). Canna find the 0.5 option anywhere. So if you add the two numbers together that is what you get back (just divide the total if you put less on than the right number). I've always had trouble trying to work out winnings with funny odds but that sounds easy now. Where's Ash cos I'm ready to start this £5 evens bet? Thinking of giving up my job and doing this £10k thing full-time. Could do 10 bets a day and make it a 7 day challenge!

Taking the 4/9 for example. If you were to bet £45 you would return £65. £20 winnings and £45 stake.
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 30 October 2012 Posted 30 October 2012 Gonna start this tonight, thinking about starting it with Celtic to beat St Johnstone, 2/7 opinions or can anyone else find longer odds that are more likely?
BoneDog Posted 30 October 2012 Posted 30 October 2012 Anyone fancy doing the evens challenge with me starting at any of £5, £10, £20 stakes to £1,000? I've started mine yo, had £5 on Van Gerwen and Dimitrov (tennis) double both to win. Odds I got were 1.02/1. Gonna beat your ass at this pisser! Elfsborg and Gefle are a pair of cunts, they had 70 mins between them to score 1 goal and they ****ed up. Starting again tonight now Unlucky. In a roundabout way, yes. Just depends how you stake. Taking the 4/9 for example. If you were to bet £45 you would return £65. £20 winnings and £45 stake. It's a bit confusing to me still but will prob pick it up the more I bet!
Guest BlueBrett Posted 30 October 2012 Posted 30 October 2012 My 3 snooker bets came in which should take me up to £19 something but bloody will hill haven't settled the Mark Allen match even though it finished 6 or 7 hours ago. Pretty annoying because I was keen to reinvest
SystonFox Posted 30 October 2012 Posted 30 October 2012 Go to 'alternative total goals' on bet365 and u can do 0.5 goals there + others. Thanks
