Nope, my mum had no money in her purse and my dad/brother were at work.

24 hour shift?

'Mum I am out of credit and I may get a call about a job can you lend me a fiver until the money is in the bank?'

After thought. You do not have cash in your bank account?

Amazing that problem never seems to occur when Charlton tickets go on sale.

I got the voicemail at 10:30am

Had £4 in my bank

Is she banned from cash machines?

No, she's classed as disabled so doesn't get out at all really, so I have to go do stuff for her instead like go shops and cashpoints etc

Crikey this is the 'job centre full package' this.

So why the fvck didn't you go to the cashpoint for her, get her some money out and borrow a fiver to put some credit on your phone, come on lad use some initiative.

You do realise that on here there a bunch of potential employers on here, but if you've not got the gumption to get off your arse and find a way to listen to your answer machine, you will never get a job, you've even had someone on here say that he knows the person that employs stewards at Charlton have you messaged him, got in touch, see if he could get you a contact number, or a way to get in touch, it may be a dead end, but you've got nothing left to lose.

How am I sposed to check my voice mail from yesterday when I only got credit at 5pm today?

I got the voicemail at 10:30am

So was that at 10:30am yesterday?

So it took you 30 hours to get credit on your phone?

Imagine the abuse Lamby would get from us lot if we were at The Valley and he was stewarding! lol

Christ on a bike lad, you're just a non-imaginary fvck away from being called a waste of space by Jeremy Kyle. You've been given umpteen pieces of very sound advice by numerous people on here and have acted on none of it.

We should really send this link to the Daily Mail, it'll distract them from whining about immigration rates and the EU.

You're going to be a Middle England hate figure lad, and you've only yourself to blame.

Please not the Mail. They will use it as an example of all those on JSA ans some people will believe it then DC will stop JSA for everyone and make more cuts at the bottom.

He's not ethnic enough for the Mail.

Lamby did you look on bookies websites? As it appears you know a bit about gambling you might find it interesting work. I managed a betting shop part time whilst at Uni. Pay was only about £7.40 an hour but you can work 12 hour days. I got thrown in at the deepend because I had some (little) previous experience of the gambling industry. You would probably start as a cashier which is a lower rate but a job is a job. They do have a high turnover of staff so they always have vacancies. And some of the people they employed as cashiers were ****ing useless. I do not know how they got jobs. So its pretty much a shoe in if you can work out that a £2 double on a 3/1 and a 5/2 shot returns £28

I actually know the manager of my local Will Hill and am also known in one of my local Betfred's, so will ask in there next week

I've been in the betting topic and he wins **** all. The amount of accumulators and that he does, which he failed to mention in his list of 'expenses' really isn't healthy for someone who can't afford a £60 course.*

*Assuming this isn't all bollocks like I suspect.

Lamby you ****, stop making these pathetic excuses, get off your arse and actually put in the work to getting a job. Otherwise I will find your missus, rip off her face, fashion it into a mask and force you to watch while I **** her corpse wearing that face-mask.

Seriously, you've been given plenty of advice in here and you've ignored all of it - sending out a CV and twiddling your thumbs isn't going to get you anywhere, be pro-active and all that other management speak guff.

Anyone on here think it would be reasonable for Lamby to have his JSA taken off him on what they have read?

I think he just needs motivation.

You be amazed how much motivation people can suddenly muster up when you take away money that stops them doing the things they enjoy.

If his Charlton season ticket was taken off him tomorrow and he could only have it back when he had found employment I don't think he would still be on JSA in three years time.

This. I've been on JSA for 3 years and in that time have only had about 4 interviews, it's making me feel hopeless with all these rejections I'm getting, I'm not getting anywhere even when I apply for retail, it's an endless circle of shit.
