Finished watching full swing this morning really enjoyed it. Just wish it was longer 4 episodes definitely felt too short. What did everyone else think?

Can't say I learnt very much. It's clearly aimed an a genefric Netflix audience rather than golf sicko's. And Amanda Ballionis' fake smile makes me want to puke. Can't believe Rory was (alledgedly) banging her.

 

Thought it was way too heavily weighted to the US RC team picks and there was very little on the Masters and absolutely nothing about the Open.

 

Strikes me they had their budget cut massively for this season and I'll be surprised if it carries on. I sense the players have had enough of the cameras up their nose 24/7

 

I think what the PGA Tour is doing with NFL films for behind the scenes stuff is way better.

Yeah definitely felt weird that they basically skipped the Masters and Open. There was literally nothing about the Europeans on the lead up to the Ryder Cup. Definitely think they've had the budget cut, can't say I blame the players for having enough of the cameras in their faces 24/7. I'll definitely give them a watch on YouTube thanks for that Izzy didn't know about them if I'm honest.

At least Rosey went bogey free today with a four under 68. I bet the McLaren Exec's are touching cloth that they won't sell any clubs if he keeps playing shit.

 

Delighted for Alex Fitzpatrick with a T10 finish. Some opinions that he doesn't deserve a 2 year exemption winning a team event with Matt but proved he belongs with the elite this week.

Golf is a stupid game.

 

Index 1 hole, good drive, horrible bounce and it sticks up on a side slope... ball way above my feet, hit a beauty of an iron shot and left it 1 inch short of the hole from 158 yards. All came crashing down as I've smashed one into the trees and made double up the next. 

 

Lesson tomorrow, hopefully find some much needed consistency!

I’ve had the round of my life up Longcliffe today

 

Played in that Creator Comp that Rick Shiels is doing. Matchplay, though the gimmies were within a foot. After we won (7&5) we carried on as I wanted to see how I ended up. Best ever score round there was 86 a few years ago. With a couple of very recent 88’s

 

Today, -11 my handicap.

What are people's opinions on YouTube golfers? Its my go to atm when bored. I imagine they're frowned upon by most in here but I find Big Wedge funny and relatable. Can't stand Bullards channel. That Peter Finch is really good.

I’m still in infuriating form, playing excellent golf tee to green but the putter isn’t behaving. Might confine it to the garage and go on a spending spree, as I’m sure it’s the club to blame rather than me…

I resorted to getting a good putting mat, its actually helped me i now mostly 2 putt instead of 4 or 5

For me, I'm less interested in the likes of Big Wedge, Fore Bros, Golf Mates, Golf Life, Bob Does Sports etc. all pissing about, and I'd prefer to watch better YT golfers such as the Bryan Bros, Grant Horvat, Brad Dalke, Bryson, Poulter etc. 

 

Agree Peter Finch's channel is very good but it's such a saturated market these days. Theres way to many bang average pro's knocking out the same content week in week out.

 

My go to YT golf channels are more around podcasts/news/information such as Fried Egg, No Laying up, and Dan on Golf and the official channels of DPWorld, The R&A, Ryder Cup etc.

I like Grants channel, as well as Ricks and Finch’s

 

Watched a bit of Fore Bros at Marco Simone which I enjoyed

 

Peter Finch has the nicest golf swing I think.

 

And Dan Grieve is phenomenal

Got big expectations of Penge to come on this season, Alex Fitzpatrick too now he's got a PGA tour card and started so well. Aaron Rai never seems to quite get a look in, bit of a bridesmaid, same as Matt Wallace. 

 

I think Adare Manor might come too soon for him but watch out for Angel Ayora, could be the next Spaniard in the Ryder Cup ranks, a proper player.

Clearly suffering from nerves early doors and went out in 3 over but just birdied 3 of the first 4 on the back 9 to rejoin the lead.
