I actually thought something very similar , there is something about her that makes me think she is from some sort of eastern european culture that rear kids from a very early age to be acrobats etc . Back in the 60's i used to sneak in and watch the travelling circus performers during the day and they were doing all sorts of stuff with very young kids. They thought nothing of throwing them around etc

We have recieved numerous complaints about this video at work and enquiries have found it is of eastern european origin and the belief is it will improve movement and flexibility of the child in later life. No crime being committed and it's a genuine video.

Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 The funny thing is I don't see the baby crying at all, not saying he is enjoying it but he/she doesn't seem distressed, and it is clear that the mother isn't doing it to hurt the baby. If it was another creature doing it, say a monkey, swinging its young around like that to increase suppleness like that and give their young the best possible advantage to survive in the wild then I would think that it was another one of those incredible evolutionary traits that old Attenburger always goes on about, and saw some equally incredible things in his latest series on Africa. I'm sure if done badly it could hurt the child, but if no harm is done to the child and the child grows up to be stronger and more flexible because of it, then who are you on here to deny a mother trying to give her child the best start in life?
