stockyfox Posted 26 February 2013 Posted 26 February 2013 When was the last time the Foxes scored TWO goals from CORNERS in the same game? (I'll post what I think is the answer tomorrow!)
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 26 February 2013 Posted 26 February 2013 Think it was a game 2 seasons back, have no idea who against but Bruno Berner bundled one in from 2 yards.
Harry - LCFC Posted 26 February 2013 Posted 26 February 2013 Definitely Swansea, I've been a sad fvck and looked at all our games since then and we haven't scored twice from corners after that match. Berner and Vassell scored, Vassell tapped it in after Morrison's header was blocked.
deanolegend1989 Posted 26 February 2013 Posted 26 February 2013 Swansea yeh Berner bundled one in. Wernt headed though? What about last game we scored 2 headed goals? Cardiff away playoff semi 2nd leg I think?
Harry - LCFC Posted 26 February 2013 Posted 26 February 2013 Swansea yeh Berner bundled one in. Wernt headed though? What about last game we scored 2 headed goals? Cardiff away playoff semi 2nd leg I think? Torquay this season, Vardy and Dyer.
Kitchandro Posted 26 February 2013 Posted 26 February 2013 Swansea yeh Berner bundled one in. Wernt headed though? What about last game we scored 2 headed goals? Cardiff away playoff semi 2nd leg I think? One was an own goal. We must have scored two headers in a game since then surely? Torquay this season, Vardy and Dyer. Dyer's wasn't a header was it? In fact Dyer a header can't be.
ReyAzarola Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 Ha. You joker! That's obviously never happened.
Kitchandro Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 Just checked and we scored with two headers against Derby - Whitbread and Nugent.
Harry - LCFC Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 Dyer's wasn't a header was it? In fact Dyer a header can't be. I know Dyer scored a header in a game at some point. I thought it was against Torquay but I might be wrong. I know it was one of those early League Cup games against lower league opposition. EDIT: Might have been against Bury. Dyer has definitely scored a header as ridiculous as some of you think that is!
deanolegend1989 Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 Just checked and we scored with two headers against Derby - Whitbread and Nugent. Oh yeh god silly me that was obvious, cudnt think of any this season but yeh thats the ONLY one this season . I know Dyer scored a header in a game at some point. I thought it was against Torquay but I might be wrong. I know it was one of those early League Cup games against lower league opposition. EDIT: Might have been against Bury. Dyer has definitely scored a header as ridiculous as some of you think that is! Why is Dyer scoring a header so suprising haha?
Bert Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 Dyer's header was against Burton away, in the pre-season friendly.
Harry - LCFC Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 See, Burton play in yellow! Easy mistake to make!
stockyfox Posted 27 February 2013 Author Posted 27 February 2013 Interesting answers to date. At least one person has the same answer as me, which is not to say the others are incorrect! The goals do not have to have been headers but were as a result of corners!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 Think it was a game 2 seasons back, have no idea who against but Bruno Berner bundled one in from 2 yards. That's it, he scored twice after looking like he'd never play again for us. My boss had him FGS city win 2-1 @ 149/1
stockyfox Posted 27 February 2013 Author Posted 27 February 2013 It was not Torquay. Dyer scored the first from Morgan's long through pass; Marshall the 2nd (25 yd free kick); James rounded the keeper for the third and Vardy headed the 4th but not from a corner. And I don't think it was Swansea although 2nd Jan 2011, Berner firmly headed in Paul Gallagher's corner for the first but the second goal was as a result of their keeper parrying a shot from Morrison and Vassell converted the rebound. So I think the answer is Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough 6th October 2007, Gareth McAuley after 7 minutes and Sodje (own goal after 14 minutes). Kisnorbo was credited with the goal by many but TV replays showed he never touched it. Deucalion - congratulations. And it was Megson in charge!

Oh no not this debate again Personally, I think that counts as a goal from a corner.
Harry - LCFC Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 The goals against Swansea were both from corners, I don't care if one was a bit of a mess. That's the correct answer, not Sheffield Wednesday.
