Konchesky 7 - Dealt well with Redmond. James 7 - Bit of a nothing display, apart from the corners that were great. Drinkwater 6.5 - Better. Not great, but better. King 8.5 - Best player on the pitch by miles. Wood 5 - I know he was out of position, but he offered nothing. Schlupp 7 - Odd one. Made some great runs and finished dreadfully until his well-taken header. Nugent 3 - Was thinking he was a "4" until that last minute aberration, which was some of the worst play I have ever seen from a City player. Offered very little until that incident and I have no words really to describe quite how poor that play was. subs: Dyer 7 - Good Kane n/a - why is he playing? Aus Fox Posted 12 April 2013 Share Posted 12 April 2013 Kasper 8 made some great saves nothing he could do about either goal De Laet 7 solid defensively supported attack Morgan 6 thought he should have been closer for their goal Keane 7 steady display Konch 7 getting back to form of last year King 8.5 motm ran the show James 8 very good Drinkwater 6 broke up play distribution appalling at times Nugent 5 good work rate, had a good game but a nightmare at the end missed a couple of good chances. If you comment on Schmeichel, you'll get criticised by this guy. Don't know how you can criticise a rating of 6 for a goalkeeper who made a couple of good saves and let in 2 goals. He also made some good punches when they crossed the ball. Definitely, I thought he played fine. But I think that goalkeepers are given a free pass on penalties and I don't get why. That was a poor shot from Burke for the penalty. It wasn't struck hard and it wasn't in the corner. Schmeichel will be disappointed not to have saved it. I thought we played pretty ok in general. Was loving Schlupp, but it was so disappointing the amount of chances which came to nothing. Astonishing from Nuge at the end. If he was playin with more confidence would have buried his chance in the first half Drinkwater 6.5. Kept us ticking James 7. Tidy display, good corners Wood 6.5. Thought he did ok considering we played him out of position Schlupp 7. Worked very hard. Raw talent. Took his goal so well- wanted it so much Nugent 6.
