Guest Col city fan Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 Moosey will drink his bedpan (if someone can pick it up and deliver it). All the best Ken... Maybe FIF can take a bit of time off here too and do us all a fookin favour?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 They are fighting about who cares about you most Ken !!! Someone will say they are prepared to come and empty your bedpan if you want I care most about Ken and so does my wife!
Guest Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 All the best Ken... Maybe FIF can take a bit of time off here too and do us all a fookin favour? I care most about Ken and so does my wife! I heard it's because of your wife that he hasn't had time to go online.
Daggers Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 Bit harsh don't you think? Daggers is the only one on here who has said he will actually go in and visit Ken! Maybe he didn't read the link and went on whats in the thread as there was talk earlier about it costing money to access the internet and most have referred to them as e-cards. Fair enough what he said was incorrect but you gotta give the guy credit for taking the time to visit someone he's probably never even met before!! You 2 are like a pair of vultures, just looking to get a dig in whenever you can! I know Daggers is a contraversial character and is the first to get a dig in, but come on guys credit where its due! This thread is about us all coming together to wish a member well during a time of ill health - Don't ruin it with petty digs and remarks! Don't sweat it, Rob, they clearly have nothing else to do and it's hardly like I give a shit. I didn't realise that these eCard things were free, I just assumed he'd need internets, my bad. Sorry if anyone took it I was having a go. Well, almost anyone. For those interested in his health rather than scoring ePoints: he was sleeping when I got there this afternoon so I told them not to wake him. He's not being discharged today/tonight, the doctors are going to look at his bloods tomorrow and make a decision then, it's possible but Staff Nurse didn't sound too positive. Seeing as there's no match tomorrow, visiting time is between 2-4pm and 6-8pm, he's on Ward 33.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 Thanks for the info Daggers. Suspect the nurses on Ward 33 might be quite surprised tomorrow.
Jon the Hat Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 Nice one Dave. If I was a hundred miles closer I would join you tomorrow!

Fair play for getting down there and thanks for the update.

AoWW Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 cretin. Much as it pains me to defend MooseBreath, what was wrong with what he said?
sphericalfox Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 Much as it pains me to defend MooseBreath, what was wrong with what he said? delete my post if you like. it's antagonistic in its tone and in my view reads as a backhanded compliment.
Daggers Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 Erm. For what it's worth - some no mark being a twat means nothing to me and I don't need others to point out what a tit he is. Ken might not be everyone's cup of tea on the forum, he's certainly spent a lot of time on my ignore list because I've found some of his posts insufferable - but then I'm sure I have spent time on his. The only thing that is important is that if people want to send a man entering his dotage, who doesn't posses a structured support network like most of us, some comfort and communal warmth then do so. Things, that Ken will appreciate, drastically deteriorated under Thatcher. An old man needs your companionship, not your eScoring.
AoWW Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 delete my post if you like. it's antagonistic in its tone and in my view reads as a backhanded compliment. No need to delete it. In my opinion his comment was perfectly fine. Here's a radical thought, perhaps... just perhaps... there was no backhanded 'compliment' and you're just overly-touchy and a tad obsessed with MooseB.

While everyone's shown a great deal of compassion on this thread, nobody needs you preaching to them. If you're going to have a pissing contest with Moose again do it over PM. Nobody here knows Ken personally and it's their own prerogative how they send their wishes. Well done for going and everything, it's a nice gesture.

Sometimes I wonder if I should offer to come round to people's houses to read to them. Slowly.
AoWW Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 not really, I'm just not a fan of hypocrisy, I'm just not a fan of hysteria. Can we just leave it now?

AoWW Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 They already know there's something a bit unusual about Ken from the volume of interest Secret Celeb?
Daggers Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 Secret Celeb? I honestly don't think they'd heard of me.

Apart from that, another good post. Obviously the fact that there has already been about 14 pages worth of comments attests to the fact that everyone is keen to offer Ken support in any way that they can, but I'm sure everyone will feel that much better to know that you approve.
AoWW Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 I honestly don't think they'd heard of me. It's probably just as well.
