NewburyFox Posted 29 April 2013 Posted 29 April 2013 The hospital would've hoofed him out of there if he was ready to return to the ft community, so I'm still concerned.
Wycombe Fox Posted 29 April 2013 Posted 29 April 2013 Ken's problem might be hereditary i.e. he was barn with it. Or, he may simply have a colt in which case I recommend cough stirrup. I'll get me ©oats
Jon the Hat Posted 29 April 2013 Posted 29 April 2013 Seriously though, have we all forgotten about Ken? Any further news 21CF?

Zingari Posted 29 April 2013 Posted 29 April 2013 He'll never play football again. He's been told he mustang up his boots
jonthefox Posted 29 April 2013 Posted 29 April 2013 No need to nag. Didn't think it would be (fur)long before that one arose.
21st Century Fox Posted 29 April 2013 Author Posted 29 April 2013 Seriously though, have we all forgotten about Ken? Any further news 21CF? I'm afraid not, I only know what his project manager at DNO told me and I'm not sure how much I should pester the guy/invade Ken's privacy. So the last I heard was they'd contacted his brother so he had someone to look after him when he came out. I assume as he said they were considering discharging him the other day that they're leaning towards discharging him rather than admitting him to a longer stay ward, but that's just an assumption.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 29 April 2013 Posted 29 April 2013 Seems like he's been in there for donkeys years now (god I'm scraping the barrel with that one)
MPH Posted 29 April 2013 Posted 29 April 2013 well we'd all be blinkered to think he wasnt still sick.. or we would of herd otherwise... I'm just glad he got to a mane hospital and wasnt living out in the sticks.... Just hope it wasnt a condition he was barn with... Hope he's gelding better!
Saxondale Posted 30 April 2013 Posted 30 April 2013 I hope he's got some kind neighbours who can look out for him.
Guest MattP Posted 30 April 2013 Posted 30 April 2013 On a serious point did anyone actually go in to see him?
glenny_fox Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 Just to let you guys know ken is still in hospital, but should get discharged soon. The person I spoke to said she didn't know exactly what he had but the symptoms were just like he had a stroke.

ozleicester Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 poor bugger, hope someone is going to be around to help him when he gets out.
21st Century Fox Posted 1 May 2013 Author Posted 1 May 2013 I feared it might be a something like a stroke, I wonder if the Bell's Palsy was unrelated or misdiagnosed. My dad had a stroke in his 40's whilst chopping down a tree in the garden. He blacked out for a few seconds and his leg went numb but didn't really think anything of it until it got worse over a few days and luckily it was only because my mum (who's a nurse) recognised the signs, that he went into hospital. He made a complete recovery and only get a twinge in his leg now and again. So hopefully if Ken has had a stroke he can make a full recovery also.
Guest MattP Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 Not good to hear. Just make sure no one has those awful piss taking stroke avatars for when gets back eh ..
James. Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 I also had a feeling it could be something like this. My father-in-law had a stroke a couple of years ago and was left disabled. It can be a devestating thing to happen but receives little of the attention that other life threatening illnesses get such as heart attacks and cancer. I don't mean to scaremonger particularly when we don't know anything of the circumstances around what's happened (indeed in many cases there is no lasting impact whatsoever). Wishing Ken all the best again and a swift, full recovery.
Carl the Llama Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 Sorry about the distasteful jokes earlier. Personally I take the opinion that we should make light of things we have zero control over, but can understand people taking it the wrong way. Get well soon Ken.
