The Ken/NightGuard/Rincewind Well-being Thread

Oh dear, do we know what the matter is? I see him occasionally (although we've never spoken in person as he wouldn't know me from Adam) as I think he lives near where I work. I'm sure I saw him about a week ago out and about

I flicked back through a few pages of the How Was Your Day thread so I don't grossly misquote him...

He was having some problems with his vision about a month ago and then had a turn during a meeting, ended up in the Royal Infirmary and found out he had Bell's Palsy brought on by a mild stroke. Then he mentioned something about liver damage and then had trouble drinking and passing water and I think he had a catheter put in to help with that.

I assume because of the catheter he's either been to the hospital to have it out or he's been visited by a nurse, so I'm sure he's fine. It's just not the same without Ken about and it'd be good to know how he is.

If anyone knows his last name and PMs it to me I might be able to find out at work.

Sure the simplest thing is to just go into British Heart Foundation or call the store and ask. There can't be many old boys called Ken.

Or what's the newsletter he works on? They'll know. If anyone's actually that concerned he makes his life so open it wouldn't take Poirot to find him.

Hope he's alreet. Was it DNO or something he was writing for? They may know as Finners says.

come on guys we need to find out where Ken has gone, this is becoming a little odd. Surely he'd have had access to a PC by now and I know he'd have checked FT as priority!

Perhaps he won the lottery and is now living it up in Vegas?

I think it's Ken Duddle.

btw I've tried to contact him through the BHF website - doubt it'll get anywhere but just to let you know.

For the morbid and melodramatic amongst you, we have no record to indicate his passing and we're usually pretty quick with that stuff.

Can't pry much more than that, like I said, anyone that bothered should just phone his shop or newsletter, they'll know.

Just popped into the BHF shop, they haven't heard from him for around a fortnight, asked me if I hear anything to go back and let them know :(

That doesn't sound good at all..... :(

Thanks for going down and having a look.

I've been searching for a number to contact DNO on as they're his immediate employers they'll probably know what's going on but I can't find a number anywhere, they only have an email address for contact.

edit: Found a number for ActionHomeless, who I assume might know how to contact DNO but no one's picking up at the moment.

Has anyone e-mailed the contact addresses he has in his profile on here?

Concerning, hopefully if he is unwell he is in the right place for recovery.Well done for trying.

We might all disagree with each other from time to time, but I think it's fantastic that when we fear something is up or out of the norm people step up to show a caring side.Mind you most don't know I exist, but Ken is one of the forums characters.Hats off to all.
