Vardinhio Posted 27 April 2013 Author Posted 27 April 2013 So, thanks for the advice guys. I weighed up my options in to: a) Have sex with her, she is a 24 year old virgin who may probably appreciate it. b) Kill her.....ermmm c) Move out Well I have decided I am going to move out. I went a viewed a room in a houseshare yesterday. Bit concerned about living with randoms but the house was nice so I'm going to go for it. However, when I do move out I'm going to let her know why, I really hate rude people and she's got to know how bad her interpersonal skills are.
sphericalfox Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 I'm not sure why you've made a decision about what to do with a housemate until you've heard from The Doctor. He pretty much knows how to deal with any difficult housemates, and I'm pretty sure he knows about virgins too.
The God Emperor Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 this situation is nothing that a quick, sharp smack in the chops couldn't cure. watch a few old black and white films to get your self mentally prepared and observe some technique, I prefer a backhander because it send sends a lasting message but any contact should get the job done. then when the next time she gives you some lip *POW*. If you dont hear a clapping sound on contact you've done it wrong. simples
Orkneyfox Posted 27 April 2013 Posted 27 April 2013 Sounds as if you might just as well be married to her from all the problems you are having! Just move, don't bother telling her why as it would cause too much aggro in the work/team groupings.

Sound advice, I will move out but will just say I would prefer to live with more people or something.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 I moved in with my old manager in my old job, I lasted a week and moved straight back out again when he was out. Tbh he took it well - I knew that it just wouldn't work, we were too different for it to work - we stayed mates and still are.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 You should stand up for yourself mate. At the end of the day it's your rent paying her mortgage so she should give you some respect
Vardinhio Posted 28 April 2013 Author Posted 28 April 2013 You should stand up for yourself mate. At the end of the day it's your rent paying her mortgage so she should give you some respect Will do this week, it is just hard having to bite your tongue. I don't like living in animosity. However, this week I'll see how she is and if I have to confront her about her attitude I will. Definitely moving out though, no way I'm paying rent to be a 2nd class citizen.
Vardinhio Posted 28 April 2013 Author Posted 28 April 2013 I need to sort the new place out as priority this week. I'm the easiest going person in the world and only there 4 nights a week. If she does start on then I'll just have to tell her where to go this week, not really a fan of creating an atmosphere but hey
21st Century Fox Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 I know you're getting loads of contradictory advice but I'll just put forward another one. I'd be inclined to keep biting the tongue because she sounds like she might be one of those girls that gets off on conflict and drama and actively seeks it out (obviously there are guys that do it as well, but I guess it's more noticeable in girls). If she lets say hasn't got much else going on in her life she might be looking for drama so she's got something to throw into the ring with her friends, when they're chatting or even to convince herself she's got something exciting enough to get worked up about. Of course this is a wild assumption on a girl I know nothing about but we've all come across people like that at one time or another.

It is a valid point, she has little in her life and whilst I know she doesn't speak to others about this I do think she enjoys having some power over me. I think she knows I can't really come back at her when she makes silly comments as ultimately I need a roof over my head. However, I'm a proud guy so it is time to move on and out, then I don't have to speak to her again. I do though need to be careful how I phrase my leaving message as unfortunately she is kind of in the same group of people I have lunch with in the week. ps..also worth knowing that when she was drunk a few months back she cried about being bullied growing up. I can't help but think the power trip in her own house may be partly as a result of this.

I'd definitely move out, life's too short, I just wouldn't give her the satisfaction of the drama trip. Once you're out and enjoying living with others and it gets back to her via the friends network that'll be revenge enough. Where are you looking to move to in Bristol?
Vardinhio Posted 29 April 2013 Author Posted 29 April 2013 I'm looking at moving further up Filton Avenue, it is a while from town but I've found a houseshare £420 all inc and the house is furnished and has literally just been fully refurbed. Right next to my place of work too. I think I need to work on the sly, get the new place sorted and then deliver the parting message, Not planning on giving her any notice though or if I'm honest even paying her any further money re Council tax etc. She has treated me like crap since I moved in, telling me to shut the bin lid quieter, close front door quieter, criticised what I eat..the way I cook. Even correcting my pronounciation of words...I invited her out for some food with friends in week to be polite and she made comment that I had my mobile out to send a text...real nightmare to be honest. I have made an effort to be polite but get this, once I asked when her mate was coming to stay and she criticised me for using the word "mate". She said "urgh, mate, you mean friend, mate is such a chavvy word". Then next day I gave her a lift to work and she said where I parked was selfish and lazy just because I had missed a space next to a parked car in anticipation of it opening doors etc Bills wise I've already paid over what I've used and we have no contract. Screw her. No more money from me!

Vardinhio Posted 29 April 2013 Author Posted 29 April 2013 just home, literally greeted with "don't slame the door" to which I said "Jesus, I'm not slamming it, I'm a guy, we are heavy handed and I'm making sure it shut". She still bit back but think she can tell I'm close to the edge now. Worked out with some A/L I can move out on the 9th.
ADK Posted 29 April 2013 Posted 29 April 2013 I had a housemate like that when i was at uni. I'd just move out and forget about it. Life's too short to worry about people like that when you can simply move.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 29 April 2013 Posted 29 April 2013 Before you leave make sure you drizzle a puddle of baby gravy in her milk / del monte. I did that when I had problems with housemates eating and drinking my stuff, there's a little bit of me in all of those cvnts now

Vardinhio Posted 29 April 2013 Author Posted 29 April 2013 jeez John, I'll have to think about that. She does have full fat milk with would match the consistency more though.
SystonFox Posted 29 April 2013 Posted 29 April 2013 Cave those back doors in. Man up. She wants to get ruined
SystonFox Posted 29 April 2013 Posted 29 April 2013 Ignore what I said and do exactly what THEBIGJOHNSTEADER said. He is the man with a plan
