Haydos Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 Hey guys, I think we exist and we continue to exist because there's proof of why we have come to exist and why we continue to exist. Also I think that people that don't understand this don't deserve opinions of other things (I really truly believe that bit). Also I'm drunk and bored.
BoneDog Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 I can't see the image so don't know how to respond I'm a tad disappointed at not being thought worthy of having an opinion though.

Jaspa Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 Dont agree that people who think otherwise shouldnt be allowed an opinion on anything . . . . . . Ever Theres alot of questions left and alot of experienced intellectuals that have looked this stuff their whole lifes and still had religious beliefs, you cant just simply rule these things out. I think Einstien was very religious, but his opinions seem to have proved to been taken very seriously

Like I said, drunk and bored, probably best if it was deleted, there's not much point to it apart from chatting with people online now.
BoneDog Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 I like the first line in the op - it's a tricky sentence and I'm still trying to fully work it out though

Like I said, drunk and bored, probably best if it was deleted, there's not much point to it apart from chatting with people online now. You never know, Moosebreath might come in and pick on something seemingly inoculous into a handbag circus, Bonedog might post a video that divides opinion on another subject and takes this onto a differant tangent and even Flowwolf might come in and start abusing people three posts at a time; this whole thread could evolve
Zingari Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 What does science say about the effects of alcohol on the brain?

Haydos Posted 28 April 2013 Author Posted 28 April 2013 I like the first line in the op - it's a tricky sentence and I'm still trying to fully work it out though I'm trying too. If it's any consolation I'm now hungover and bored. Who would have guessed?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 I don't think the OP statement denies religion or the existance of god. A simple statement of staggeringly obvious fact. Basic existentialism really.
Vacamion Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 I don't think the OP statement denies religion or the existance of god. A simple statement of staggeringly obvious fact. Basic existentialism really. Agreed. It's almost as if Jean Paul Sartre and Simone De Beauvoir split a johnny and the resultant offspring was called Haydos. We've all had moments when we've thought "None of this is real and I'm pissed". The OP hits the nail on the head...
Haydos Posted 28 April 2013 Author Posted 28 April 2013 If this thread ends up actually being used for science discussion I'll eat my hat. Also might not-so-ninja edit my op

Captain... Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 Science is cool, last night in the pub a science teacher explained light and colours and shit, it was very enlightening and I was very impressed, I can't really remember it now.
Zingari Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 I don’t believe in all that shite . I mean how the fook is sitting around a table holding hands and moaning “is there anybody there?†going to conjure up spirits of the dead?
Kyle_Le_Don Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 These are pretty cool get the mind thinking a little. Thing us you've got to try and imagine the possibility that The government etc could have been brain washing people for a long time. they control just about everything, education being one of many. 1% of the world population control 99% Funny when you compare old cinema movies to now a days kinda stuff. It's been the same for a long long time.. What is real freedom? evolution load of cosbollox, dna code, cognitive thinking was through evolution I guess thought was manifested through what exactly?
The Doctor Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 What does science say about the effects of alcohol on the brain? It says the taste stimulates dopamine release, which is why people enjoy it: http://blogs.smithsonianmag.com/science/2013/04/merely-a-taste-of-beer-can-trigger-a-rush-of-chemical-pleasure-in-the-brain However, bad news on the sex side: it can cause the release of androgens, which are metabolised by the liver to oestrogen. So alcohol does have the potential side effect of feminisation.
