Surely we should all be proud?

Over the recent months we've all had that 'Pearson Out' feeling especially after January!

However, overall we haven't had a bad season at all. All these people claim to say "Leicester are buying the league" although I only really recall Sven spending a lot of money. Nigel on the other hand really hasn't spent that much with as we know most players being loanees.

Considering by the end of the season we were in sixth position I personally see that as remarkable. A vast improvement on the normal 10th position I'm used to anyway. It really does show what a cracking first half of the season we did have. I personally believe the reason that we faltered towards the end was due to fatigue. Most of the new players we brought in weren't used to it; this being that for the majority it was their first proper season of football playing week in, week out - so surely it was always going to be tough.

But after reading on here people moaning that we aren't good enough, who's this clown in charge. I'm sorry but the last few weeks have really summed up Leicester for me. Considering Nige got rid of all the slackers, we really do have a base made up of passionate players. Many teams would have given in, however we ground out some good results against hard teams to ensure we got into the play offs. Surely that says enough to the Nige haters. Even if our play is boring at times!

As for the play offs. Maybe we didn't deserve to be there, but lets be honest we gave 110% and I for one am impressed with the performance. I was annoyed with the penalty, however it takes guts to take that and the pressure mounting upon young Tony would have been immense. He's definitely not to blame, Jesus he's been a catalyst for us all year and now people are saying off with his head? Sheer madness!

I was more annoyed with the shambles of our defence afterwards, why no one made a challenge or marked Lionel Deeney I do not know.

I seriously do believe next season we will be there. Get behind the boys especially Knockaert, poor guy doesn't deserve hate. The fact some are comparing to Yann is barbaric. Tony shows passion and actually looks like he wants to be here and seems as if he is enjoying himself.

In terms of next season I do feel like we need to improve. Good battling CM who puts a foot in, new LB and a FAST striker we will be in good stead.

Anyway apologies if none of that made any sense, just wanted to share my opinion. I look forward to next season massively and hope we give it another good go!

I didn't read the whole thread but no, I'm proud at all.

What should we be proud of? Sure, most players tried today but what about the previous 3 months when they barely turned up?

What about us being outclassed by a club like Watford? What about another fvcking season of this shit to look forward to?

I was proud 3 years ago, we achieved more than I expected. We have massively underachieved this season considering how well we were capable of playing, how mcuh money we've spent since the Thais came in and for how big a club we are.

Being in this league does not make me proud anymore, I'm a bit embarrassed to be honest.

Nope.

I'm proud.

Many will be disappointed at our slump and focus on that but I personally think the players showed admirable effort and heart to turn it around and get us into the position we were in at the start of today.

Can't be proud after the last 4 months of utter embarrassment.

I'm sorry, but having to go to the last load of home games on Friday nights after a shit day at work was just really emotionally and physically exhausting.

I am proud, I am happy, I have been made to 'eat my words' over the last 3 games, and it hasn't been a bad season in all honesty.

But in another league, in another season the previous 17 games of the season have been relegation form, they have been unacceptable and below parr, we wouldn't be in with a chance of playoffs, let alone promotion.

The last 17 games of the season have been a real stuggle for me and i'll admit I decided to give a couple of the home games a miss I was the frustrated and angry, it unacceptable and after making the playoffs people did exactly what I predicted (And I include myself in this comment) forgot about the last 17 games of the season, everything was rosy again after making the playoffs, no problems whatsoever, *puff* like a magic trick, not mentioned at all.

I'm sorry but the last 17 games of the season cannot be forgotten, they must be an investigation, an inquest, a conclusion to what went wrong.

I am proud for the 1st half and this mini season at the end, but head's must roll (Not Pearson's IMO) for the 2nd half and it's personnel on the pitch that I blame.

Always will be, and we absolutely deserved our place in the play-offs, if we didn't, if our points/goal difference total was less than that of Forests or any other team below us we simply wouldn't have been there.

It's like saying Man City didn't deserve the title last season.

In all honesty 8 days ago, we expected our season to be over.

In my eyes, the playoffs have been a bonus where more good than bad will happen. The performances of King over the two-legs have been outstanding.

Were we really ready to go up? Not really! We need a few more tweaks to the squad

More than anything though, I'm proud and happy by the passion shown by the squad!

NEXT YEAR IS OURS BOYS!

Again... On what basis?

Why not this year? Or last? Or the one before that?

Etc...

I'm proud, of course I am. I'm not a glory hunting Man It's or Chelsea fan. But realistically, we should've kicked on from January and finished the job.

I'm undecided on Pearson, whatever happens, happens. Don't want quality players like Kasper to go though.

We'll still be here come August.

Guys, you'll be pleased to know that you are only going to get one post from this watford supporter.

After the game once the crowd had moved back I thought that the support you gave your players when they came back out was fantastic, full credit.

On a seperate note about 100 Leicester fans were still in the ground when the Watofrd players came back out on to the pitch and they were sporting and classy enough to applaud the Watford players as they walked round.

You should be very proud of your fans and the class they showed your own and Watford players today.

Guys,

We're all proud to come from this fantastic one club city and county. I'm proud of our fans, and our players who showed loads of heart in both games. I'm actually also proud of our owners who have shown respect for the heritage of the club and unusual patience compared to most foreign owners who want a quick buck. But enough. For all the above reasons the Manager has to go. We are a sleeping giant (aka massive under-achiever) due to his failure in last summer's transfer market (strikers, midfielders), his lack of a plan B, and his general failure to halt a slide from top, to just scraping innto the play offs, then being out played over two legs. He's had long enough and we can do better! Keep the faith.

I was proud but not so much now, I guess the bottom line is 15 points from the final 17 games isn't pride inspiring, the football we have been playing isn't awe inspiring. was it really THAT impressive to be 8th after 97.8% of the season, is it THAT much progress?

I'm not proud, just fed up that we are facing another season out of the top flight and making the second tier our home, like Notts Forest and Ipswich.

If 'Pride' comes from gaining two more points this season than last then yes we should be proud.

Personally I'm not that easily pleased.

Because guys and girls, there's the facts. 2 more points it is. And that's with Pearson having a full season.

I am actually proud of the effort put in over the last 3 games.

But where was the effort and passion in the 16 games prior to that?

The league this year was shit - so mediocre - the fact we ended up in 6th with an appalling run of results speaks volumes about the league, rather than our brilliance.

I was angry earlier calling for Pearson to 'do one', but if he's going to hang around, we need to start the season how we've finished it - every bloody game treated like a cup final/play off game.

If I was given playoffs at the start of the season I would have taken it

How we lost is extremely heart breaking but we have it a shot and were a miss placed pen away from Wembley

I am extremely proud to be a Leicester fan today and will also call for stability to move forward

Come on you blues!!! Lets go up next year

See this is what I meant about once we'd got in the playoffs everyone had forgot about the season, the 2nd half of the season, the disappointment of the season, e.t.c, you were well up for it while we were in the playoffs, seeming like everything if forgotten, really behind the team, really showing your support, now we have been knocked out, you are back to no it's not really a great season.

Don't get me wrong i'm kind of the same back to being annoyed and disappointed, however just proves the point the playoffs papered over the cracks and none of these problems were even mentioned while we were in the playoffs, i'm sorry but these problems never went away, they were always there, and have always and will need addressing and questions will need answering.

(I understand your problem is with Pearson, Mine is with the players)

I will always be behind the team Matt, that's a given. There's little to be gained by getting into the play-offs and to then harp on about what came previously. Most of us saw the play offs as a 'fresh start' so to speak.

However, we've still failed and now people are discussing the season per se.

Natural to do so IMO.
