lavrentis Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 http://news.sky.com/story/1098701/bilderberg-2013-at-watfords-grove-hotel In England but of course we don't know anything that goes on. Good old Ken Clarke is a regular though
Zingari Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 Are the BBC even mentioning this ? Some of the world's most powerful and influential people on the planet are meeting to hold secret talks and it's treated as "no big deal" I've just typed Bildeberg 2013 into the main search on the news home page and there are "no results found for your search" Fookin incredible , they denied it even existed (other than in the minds of loony conspiracy theorists) for years and now it's considered as not even newsworthy . Surely it's illegal anyway . I'm sure events such as this are covered by the Logan Act in the US and we must have similar laws .
leicsmac Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 It would definitely be nice to know what exactly they are talking about at the Bilderberg meetings.

It'll probably get the same coverage as the problems currently in Turkey are getting.
21st Century Fox Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 I won't listen to a conspiracy theory unless it's exposed by a former Wrestler.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-r4DGx04gI
Finnegan Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 It'll probably get the same coverage as the problems currently in Turkey are getting. What do you want them to cover? They're off-the-record meetings and no official policy is dictated in them. They're publicly announced, it's declared where they are and when they are, there's no world leaders present, it's just senior politicians and businessmen. Do you not think if there was some sort of NWO, Illuminati super-group meeting to decide the fate of the world that they'd do it a bit more privately and a bit more covertly? I mean surely, if you control the whole world, you have the capacity to have your top secret meetings somewhere beautiful, warm and glorious and completely away from scrutiny as opposed to.... Webbo Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 It'll probably get the same coverage as the problems currently in Turkey are getting. It was covered quite considerably on Breakfast news this morning.

Finnegan Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 It was covered quite considerably on Breakfast news this morning. Yep. I mean the whole point is that important figures can convene with one another, across nations, without press speculation and scrutiny, and say what they're actually thinking. They can be a lot less delicate, politically. Of course if they were deciding law or policy then the public have a right to know but as far as I'm aware they're not? I'm sure even the Empty's of this world would have to concede that if there are super-groups like those assembled ruling the world then they'd not really be doing it from well publicized, annual meetings at fairly accessible locations.

Finnegan Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 .. there was loads of it on the BBC website the other day. It's still the top story on the Europe section of World News.
sphericalfox Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 .. there was loads of it on the BBC website the other day. It's still the top story on the Europe section of World News. The internet is a different kettle of fish to mainstream broadcasting news that reaches the majority of news consumers. I have even been disappointed by Channel 4's lack of priority on this one over the last few days. It may well change. The same occurred with the beginning of the Syrian uprising.

sphericalfox Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 As I said it was well covered on BBC breakfast news this morning. I watched BBC news this morning, and that is not my definition of 'well covered'. Anyway, this thread is all about the Bilderburgers.

I have even been disappointed by Channel 4's lack of priority on this one over the last few days. It may well change. The same occurred with the beginning of the Syrian uprising. The internet IS mainstream news broadcasting. Television news is usually just crap bulletins and two minute specials these days. Though, as Webbo has said but you're desperately trying to ignore him so you can convince yourself it's some sort of deliberate conspiracy, it was on the news this morning... You're having a mare here.
MooseBreath Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 A few protests in Turkey is hardly news of the century anyway. Personally I couldn't give a **** unless it makes holidays there cheaper, at which point I'm interested, but that's just me. As for bilderberg, probably just an excuse for a piss up, some high level networking and sharing stories about high class escorts.

You're having a mare here. Seriously, are you bored again? I have several Turkish friends on the ground over there, and what's being delivered in the news isn't near half the story. I'm not ignoring Webbo. I watched the news this morning, and responded to him. I never said it wasn't on the television news. The reportage of it, as you said is crap. I'm agreeing with you. Stop picking a fooking fight with your shadow.

leicsmac Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 It's probably true that this kind of meeting is fairly innocuous, because if it wasn't we'd sure as hell not know about it. That said, I deeply mistrust rich and influential people because each and every one of them has done bad things to become or continue to be rich and influential, so when lots of them gather together like this I would definitely like to know what is being said. Even if Moose is right and it's just a symposium on where to find the best high-maintenance gigolos.

Stop picking a fooking fight with your shadow. Is it bigger news to a UK audience than a British citizen being decapitated in broad daylight on a London street? Or corruption at Number 10? Or Bradley Manning's trial? I'm sure if it was more relevant it would be bigger news here. You obviously care because you have friends in Turkey, a vast amount of the British populace don't. It's being reported on here it's just not the biggest news item. What are you after exactly? I'm not looking for a fight I just don't see why you're derailing a thread about something completely different. You already started a thread about the Turkey riots, which nobody gave a toss about (a thread about Michael Douglas getting mouth cancer from giving head got my replies.) That sort of evidences what I'm saying really, doesn't it?
Zingari Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 Spelling. ok , but the spelling doesn't make any difference though try it http://www.bbc.co.uk/search/news/?q=bilderberg%202013 Surely they could at least speculate on what they are going to be babbling on about in there I hardly think it's likely to be about where to buy cheap fags booze and hookers on their hols. If a bunch of football league chairmen were meeting with secret agendas , the press would be all over it . They went fookin gaga when Mandy Mandelson met someone on a private yacht . It's probably all very innocent though yeah right

You already started a thread about the Turkey riots, which nobody gave a toss about (a thread about Michael Douglas getting mouth cancer from giving head got my replies.) That sort of evidences what I'm saying really, doesn't it? Right, so I'll have to explain myself, to help you understand. I didn't derail anything, I made a throwaway comment, and you decided to go off on one about conspiracy theory bollox, to which I neither inferred was the case nor claimed to be the case. I was using a juxtaposition. I personally believe that the problems over in Turkey should be getting a higher exposure, and what I was implying is that it probably got the same amount of airtime as this particular story. I couldn't give a toss whether you or anybody else posted on my thread the other day. So nobodies interested. It's no skin off my nose, I'm not bitching about it or carping on. So you're more interested in Michael Douglas, that's nice for you. That had room for a nice bit banter, humour and tangents, mine was potentially to discuss a highly populated so-called democratic country in the EU in turmoil and disorder. That'll be all serious and boring. I understand that, and I'm happy enough for it to die on it's arse. Someone else will make a thread about somewhere in the future, so keep an eye out to see if I moan.
Vacamion Posted 3 June 2013 Posted 3 June 2013 highly populated so-called democratic country in the EU in turmoil and disorder. Getting ahead of ourselves? Turkey in the EU will be over Greece's dead body. I think they are further away from membership than they have been in a while.
